Yes correct, they are compatible as they have different animal ID in their files. The one from the other mod uses the observation system from Deep Freeze, as real aquariums cannot keep those.

You're one of this game's best modders, so I'm going to assume that the identical marlin species from this mod and your billfish brigade mod are compatible.
