Not sure if it's possible to remove, but it wasn't finding it and was this constantly searching, which was causing log spam.
So if you are using the Type IIA or Type IID, update to this version so you don't get giant log files.
That will change when 2024.1 comes out of beta, if not before.
Still unsure if I'm going to update existing mods or make new workshop pages, likely the latter.
Took forever to figure out how to do it. Looking at the Engine Control mod finally helped me find the right place.
This mod is acting directly on the propeller power just before the actual thrust is applied to the ship.
And yes, it is theoretically possible to go in the other direction. It's been discussed but has yet to be tested.
can you make it go slower to.? like the more real numbers of 8 knots, whit the deckgun installed.
Sorry I didn't get to this sooner. I got the logic reversed when I fixed the performance bug so the boost was happening with the deck gun not without it.
Fixed now
I really didn't want to be constantly doing checks for the Deck Gun, but I kept running into issues and eventually gave up.
That's the only thing that could be causing what you describe, unless it's somehow triggering a vanilla bug.
Your're sure it's this mod?
Are you running Engine Control?
This mod is doing a lot less than engine control in a way that should be cleaner. I don't see how this could cause an issue that it doesn't also cause.
What are the specific conditions under which this occurs?
I might need a saved game of this happening, if I can even duplicate the issue on my machine.
Yep, the game allow you to reach about 9 knots underwater. IRL towards the end of the war some subs were streamlined to help with the underwater performance. I believe they reached around 10 knots.
After the war the US Balao and Tench class were heavily modified under the Guppy programs and could reach speeds up to 14-15 knots.
what a joker speed no wonder they got cought so easy by destrroyers later
That may be coming as another mod. It has been discussed, but it's not nearly as simple as this.
next mod
Fart boyancy advance creates +10% boyancy
Feed sailors the right food so bacterias can create alot gas to fart out into a gardenhose that leads to the tanks.
Approximately 1 knot on the default settings, but it's configurable.
Yes it is save game compatible.
