I have recovered this world file I plan to update it soon. Depending on weather or not the author wants to complete the work on it they started.

I decided to keep the Rotor Piston for theese 3 reasons:

1.) A single piston doesn't extends far enough to replace the current rotor-piston. I would have to add 3 pistons onto eachother what would be extremely buggy and damage the ship / destroy the cover while moving.

2.) The cover needs to "wobble" up and down a bit to be able to slide over the glass-dome. The rotor-piston works totally fine here while the pistons would slightly damage the glass on each extension and eventually brake it.

3.) In my opinion seing the rotor-piston turn through the opening above the Cockpit to slowly extend the cover looks so much more awesome then just a small 1x2 piston block extending/retracting. Also it would make the whole headpart above the Cockpit where the piston-rotor is located completely useless.

So I decided to keep it for this one and use Pistons for my subsequent builds.

Hope you can understand my decision :P

First of All:
Unfortunately one of the last Updates has reset the "Velocity" of all Rotors ("Hangar Rotor" and "Hangar Lock") to 0 so you have to set it to any amount between 0 and 2.00.

Afterwards:
Open up the Control Terminal by Pressing [K] while pointing at any Display and find "Hangar Rotor". Klick on "Reverse" to open it.

After the Hangar Door is completely opened search for "Hangar Lock" and also click on "Reverse" (Make Sure all Landing Gears are unlocked before)

The Piston Controlled Cover should now get pushed forwards and "Lock" the Rotor Door.

Thats it. Ill have to fix that Problem and Update this Ship ASAP! ^^

How do you open the hanger doors?

I have figured out what kind of ship it will be. It is going to be a support ship. basicaly it goes in after a battle and rescues the crippled ship. also I got a color scheme figured out and it looks quite nice. again thank you so much for letting me use your designs it is helping me so much

Sleekest looking large-scale ship I've seen so far. Dem lines tho. Also, that sliding armor section with the locking bit, thats fucking beautiful.

it is coming along quite nicely :) I finished the front and now at least have a skeleton of the rest. I think you will like it, and once again thank you for your designs.

@SevenSins thank you for letting me use your designs! You saved me a lot of time in deciding how to make the front and it goes very well with my design. Unfortunately progress on it is coming pretty slow :( currently I am about 75% done with the front half. I will still be sure to tell you when it is done though.

It's converted to a Station. You need to go to the Info menu from any Cockpit or Control Panel and Press "Convert to Ship" But be careful Up, Down, Side and Front Thrusters are still missing so you might have to add them. I'll fix it ASAP!

@pule64 Wow... that would actually be quite a nice "gamemode". a big Ship / Station and multiple Teams fighting for the control of it. You need to try to hack the Cockpits and Co. to gain access to the defensive systems and so on to be in control of the ship / Station and the other Teams need to stop you or take the control back.

I'll probably start building something like this now :D Thanks for the Idea!

I love how you have vents connecting different rooms. This would be just an epic ship for a capture the flag type of game with all of the vents
