Dunno what you're working on next, but I would love to see you take a stab at a paper/scroll themed UI. Regardless, I'm really looking forward to your next Workshop creation!
definitely considering pushing out even more themes, just in case the one isn't enough to satisfy the need for Aesthetic™
The issue of the slot highlight is something I encountered previously, but I’d never really been able to figure out what to do about it since making the slot itself much brighter brought along a lot of visibility issues with whatever item was in the slot. However, while I was out of town, I had an idea that may or may not work… so potentially expect an update soon ;)

PS: Sorry for misgendering you previously, it was unintentional
unfortunately, any lighter and and it started to conflict with the visibility of whatever was in the boxes. haven't found a good middle ground yet
but the background of hotbar box is way too dark for my poor eyes and/or LCD TN monitor
e.g. it lacks contrast/visibility I believe for me.
