What's the functional difference between the stuff able and material-locked armors? Is it just looking nice to dye, or is there something I'm missing?

Not sure if this is intentional or not, but the Electric Forge is still using wood as fuel. Just thought I'd report that, in case you might not have known.

@Dahaka I won't be forking that mod, sorry. It needs textures for hulk, thin, and fat body types. I don't have the skill to make those myself, unfortunately.

@hitherebyethere You should be able to use it; it doesn't have any special properties in regard to who can equip it, except maybe for being a little heavy.

the armors used to show up for ideo's with the expanded items form VFE set but it disappeared either on the original authors last patch or when it got forked, can't remember exactly

@Gilgamesh It should, I did some testing during the unstable branch, and I don't see why it would have any issues with the DLC running. Let me know if you run into any errors!

@biowreck I've upscaled the textures for this to 256x256 using an AI software and fixed some of the dimension issues which were causing display bugs with some of the apparel, you can find me on Discord in mlie's server or the general discord server and I can send them across to you.

I assume you're talking about the ninja mask, which I believe is intended to work that way by the original author. However, there is an easy fix if you're willing to use a mod like this one. It allows hairs to show with any type of headgear and is fairly straightforward to set up. Very customizable too.

So you'd be ok with a rerelease as "Kenshi Armory (Revived)" or sth, right?
'cause am planning to use them for future faction mods and that might require modifications which would be more convenient to do a lot of directly rather than via patches.
Also wanna retex some of the weapons because they just don't match the style of the armors.

Unfortunately, I am not the right person to ask. I tried to get in touch with the author myself, but was never able to. Someone on their friends list told me they haven't been on Steam in a very long time, hence why I ultimately decided to update it. Seems unlikely they will return to modding.

On a side note, if you do end up expanding on the mod, feel free to use whatever is in here.

I took a look at the Medieval Overhaul mod. Since it renames some of the research tree and moves things around, it can be difficult to find the requirements. In your case, I believe you would need to research the following: Smithing, Plate armor & Noble blades. Kenshi Armory uses it's own table for armors while weapons can be crafted at the vanilla fueled smithy.

This mod should be safe to add or remove mid playthrough. If uninstalling, I'd recommend unequipping and destroying all related items/buildings using in-game mechanics or the dev tool.

I've been really busy lately so I haven't had time to do it. The integrated patch that comes with CE still works, it just needs a few quick edits. I explain how to do it in one of my previous comments, it's really simple.

You need to research smithing, complex clothing & plate armor. Build the armor smithing table once that's done and you should be able to craft them.

Looks like the old patch still works just fine, all you need to do is rename 3 things. I'll integrate CE compatibility in the future if the patch isn't updated on their end.

Navigate to:
C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2890901044\Patches\Kenshi Armory

From there, open the files using notepad add (1.4) like this. [i.imgur.com] Do this for the 3 files inside the folder.

There is no numerical value of melee weapons suddenly in the case that CE has been loaded. Pawns with melee weapons can't attack by themselves.Level of melee is growing crazily.It returns to normal when a pawn equip a vanilla weapon.

Did a bit of testing, that mod won't cause you any errors on 1.4, despite what the game might tell you. You can safely play with it. Alternatively, if you really don't want to see a big harmless red circle next to the mod name, you can *very easily* fix it. I made a short explanation on how to do this here. [github.com]
