Why do most workshoppers not care about the game's art style? Its not that hard literally just observe the maps in game, the non wacky cosmetics/default mercenaries models, and the concept art, TF2 itself has it standards (the ♥♥♥♥ I just mentioned) and you have to follow it standards because you are making stuff for a certain product so you have to make your stuff specific that relates to it and not make whatever the ♥♥♥♥ you want.

I absolutely refuse to believe any claims from the creator(s) that this was a genuine labor of love and not tailor-made to tick every itty-bitty little box to maximize its chances of getting into the next case.

Wanna know how I know that? In all 3 of the creators' inventories there isn't a single elf hat that wasn't an obvious unbox. Most of the unusuals they own are gen 1-3 hats from before 2015.

They didn't make this out of love because they wouldn't be caught dead wearing it in-game.

It's too xmas themed (and a towering hat, which only like 10 people wear in the entire game) and not just winter themed, what I think most people would want in a winter case. 2 or 3 of these goofy hats could be in a winter case but last year we only had goofy hats bruh.

You really just made 2 types of overused hats: elf cosmetics and stacking cosmetics, and made them into one abomination. It's meh and I'd prefer it not being in the game

Geebanger is trying to help you. Artists must take criticism or else they're not artists, they're whiners. Accept your flaws and live with them, don't go "aheem aheem criticism is LITERALLY bullying me??? but go off I guess bestie", that makes you look like a child.

Take criticism as help, not as vitriol. If someone complains about something you did, don't try and shift the blame to someone else, take it and use it to improve.

For every Train of Thought or Elf Esteem, there's a Western Wraps and Dynamite Abs, it's your choice which side you want to choose.

This isn't DeviantArt, you're not just uploading whatever you want for fun. You're making cosmetics for a game, and it's up to you to uphold the standards that are expected of you by the people who play the game to create quality content worthy of being added. If making items is your hobby, prove it. Make something high quality, show off your talents, create something that people will want to wear. Even from a financial standpoint, you'd make more revenue from a good looking item thanks to the extra marketplace sales. You might think it's not a big deal if this gets added, that if nobody likes it then it doesn't matter, but ignoring the idea that you don't care (which is yet another reason that you shouldn't be uploading to the workshop at all since the entire point is to make things that other people want to be added to the game), we only get a certain number of cosmetics each year. If this gets added, we just have to deal with it, knowing that we could've had something better.

Sure thing buddy, keep telling yourself that, but, as far as I know, Valve isn't directly contacting workshop creators and telling them directly to make these awful cosmetics.

Every single elf hat, towering pillar of blank, random object on head, rainbow puke warpaint, etc, that gets uploaded on the workshop is on you all, workshop creators that insist on uploading this type of content, that clearly has no market value, or are appreciated by the community, not Valve.
