Note: In the 0.3.101 update, this mod is deprecated in favour of a campaign start option. You can now (in the validation release, at least) set all projects to unlock for all factions.

To anyone trying to get this mod working:
There is a line in the TIGlobalConfig.json that says:
"disableUnlockChances": false
Setting this to true should work similiarly to what this mod is trying to achieve. It won't help with unlocking tech you have already "skipped" though

How would I go about doing this for a modded tech? I found the spot in the mod file that has the project unlock chances, I just can't find any info on google about how each of the values work.

i've got about 5 mods rn and i'm leaving this on each cause i'm not sure what one is causing it and can't remove them to check without breaking the game.
Sometimes when i get event popups and click on something (close, continue, literally click any button on screen) my game freezes for a bit and crashes with no log. happens about every 1-2 hours.

Does this mod work with ongoing games or do I need to start from scratch again? Its fine if I do need to restart, but I kinda like how I've got my economy built up in my current save

Some of the projects' categories were changed. You should rewrite this mod in order to make it resembles the new tech tree

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked and the latest patch brought out 5 new projects (711 in current patch Vs 706 in my mod).
I have just updated the mod for the new projects so it should cover everything now.

Im not sure how TI handles an updated mod, you may have to disable the mod then enable it again to force the changes to be carried over.

Networked Global Defence leads to the project Network Intrusion Protocols, which still has a (60%) chance to unlock.

I guess just setting it to true via reflection could do the work. Don't even need to patch code with Harmony. Unless game overwrites this value.

This mod is overwriting game files with templates. Potentially can break ballance or new stuff added after game upde. I'd usggest using code patching instead of providing template json-s.

From my preliminary analysis you just need to patch this: TemplateManager.global.disableUnlockChances

But it should be tested afterwards, to check if game behaves as planned.

I cant replicate the issue. You got any other mods installed? Have you checked the log for a clue about what is crashing it?

The mod make the game crash when launching a new game. Anyone with the same problem ?

i have noticed something very interersting, when i started a new game with this the AI seemed to play better, they started really early to build space ships. in the game i compare it to they have collectivly made 5 fleets around 2037. it is only the mid 20s still but i expect the AI do more than just ravage africa and south america in this game.

I was able to find out that yes, the text shows the unlock chance. If the mod is enabled, the unlock chance is not seen.

To sucesfully install a mod, enable and restart the game for each mods.

Does it change the text value in the description of the tech or is it unlocked anyway?
I had some issues and i'm trying to get cues of it being installed corectly without having to research things again and again just to test compatibility.

Yes, you can still get the techs by trading or stealing from other factions. But there is a chance that the tech may not unlock for you directly. I was not a fan of this change hence this mod.
