I was having the same error as Emdood.
To fix it, the patch just needs to target the parent node GemstoneBase instead of all the gems individually. Hope this helps.

Got an error when used in conjunction with Jewelry:

Apologies, that was a custom patch I made for Kura's Gems and i put it to the steam workshop folder rather than the local mods folder... lol.

@justin.leclair There is no "KuraPatch.xml" in this mod though. And every patch works as intended, gems are made metallic in the categories path and smeltable in the smeltable path.

I'm pretty sure where you xpath to /Defs/ThingDef/stuffProps/categories, you should xpath to /Defs/ThingDef/stuffProps/smeltable instead.
