Standing in Quicksilver spams chat with numbers starting with 1 counting up to 120.
My issue with the fight is exclusively with how much damage she deals, which I can't do anything about without sacrificing my damage (making the fight longer), and how difficult it is to dodge her projectiles and hands. On my best attempt, I got the soul to about 300 HP, but taking over 100 damage per hit makes it very difficult to get past that.
1. She’s not like the wall of flesh, you can go under and above her just fine and she will circle around. Clearing out a larger arena to fight her with always helps
2. If the hands are no trouble to you, focus on the head/soul. Unlike skeletron, chasme’s stats are not effected whether her hands are alive or not
3. The soul closes up after a few seconds, forcing you to fight the head again for an additional time. Focus as much damage on the soul as it will forcible close at intervals of 1/4th health.
One thing i did when I wanted to generate a world thats 25200 by 7200 (#x bigger than a large world) is do 25202 by 7202.
If you put the 2 at the end of the world height and width most of calamity's stuff goes away.
However if you run thorium and spirit alongside calamity you'll get the abyss bounds error again.
If you're just trying to generate a world with calamity and depths try using tmod ver 2025.4.3.0 and doing the 2 at the end. You could probably get it to generate a world up to 33602 by 9602.
Almost anything at 42002 by 12002 fails no matter what i do. lol
I made one world using calamity, thorium, and spirit classic but disabled the abyss then one world using only calamity and depths by itself. both worlds generated.
I used the same seed, and then using structure helper and dragon lens with the better zoom mod and copied the whole biome from one to the other.
Biggest gripe is I have to reset the chest loot but that doesn't bother me anyway.
Ive ported all of quicksilver's stuff over to a library I am working on called ModLiquidLib. It'll release alongside an update with the depths that will include the quicksilver liquid
As for the lava issue, its a bug with calamity I have had fixed on their end for over a year now, but the sunken sea update has caused it to take a while to be released
Worth considering if you ever wanna rework that mechanic - having it be its own fluid instead of a version of lava opens up a lot of creative opportunity. Not to mention - you wouldn't be restricted if you want to use the fluid in another place (like for a mob farm).
1. quartz replaces obsidian entirely with its own set of items similar to the obsidian skull (quartz skull) and obsidian armour (quartz armour). Quartz also has the benefit of crafting other modded obsidian items. You also cannot get lava in a depths world unless in a drunk seed or using the fargos BoBW mod. You do not need obsidian apart from crafting hellstone in multiplayer, as either quartz or obsidian will only generate in mp.
2. There hasn't been a "mechanical" before, there's been a mod in development hell since this mod that adds a hallow alt based around mechanics, and a forum suggestion made back in 2014 called the cyber, but there hasn't been a mod similar to that.
also didn't there used to be a mod like this that was also a Hallow alternative and was called The Mechanical or smth? this probably isn't the place to ask but I've checked on the workshop for it and cant find anything
(Also: could possibly amp it up and allow for swapping all metals to their alternatives?)
