for non-existing buildings from mods use MinifyEverything
with Smart Minify to customize the weight and add the item to the inventory categories. It also allows you to remove and add buildings, as in MinifyEverything , by default walls, doors and two dozen other things are not minifiable.

That for letting me know that. I found a rimworld modding part of a wiki, but the steps it recommends are confusing (Mainly Visual Studio not having the things it says to use for some reason), but narrowing down what I'll be working with once I get that all figured out is a massive help

Say, how exactly did you make this mod? I'm asking since I am planning to make my own mod to minify the factory buildings for Vanilla Expanded Mechaniods and unfortunately I've never modded this game before now. I know this might be a bad place to start with this, but I'm committed now.
