...Huqo, this is a starter ship. At the start you don't have lots of money to repair armor after each fight. Also, the thrusters need to be protected and armor slows you down too much.

For this small of a cargo ship, u don't need a shield. 3-4 layers of armor will do.
Shields are expensive.

I don't think collectors are worth it on such small ships. The crew can handle any small amounts of loot jst fine. Only when you gotta salvage an entire station do collectors pay off and by then you'll probably have a factory ship anyway.
I'll have to experiment more with lights.

Not really. In my mind EuroSpace Industries in Cosmoteer is just the remnants or maybe a splinter of the European Space Agency, which would probably have merged and evolved into one of the factions in the game. And, I found this out after coming up with the name, there is an actual Eurospace company irl which is affiliated with the ESA.
