does this affect how cadet branches generate their COAs at all?
Solo  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. kl. 1:11
@I'm your SENPAI
It's compatible with 1.17 yes. There's probably something wrong with the mod subscription in Steam or possibly with the playset in the launcher.

@Havasi_István_Hungary
The mod doesn't really need any translation so yes absolutely. At worst you'd just get a few untranslated text in the coa designer. That's really the only localization in PS : for some UI elements that I absolutely had to change (to fit and/or explain the new coa designer behaviour/functions in the mod).

@Archivist77
I'm not entirely sure about my plans for EU5 (I don't have as much certainty about my work contracts as I'd like right now). Can't rule out anything, but I'm fairly certain I won't be able to invest a lot of time in modding it (and any meaningful modding time would be invested in PS first in any case). Probably some quick UI modding to make larger flags & shield frames before I even try to play any of it I suppose (can't help it).

Absolutely no objection from me if you want to adapt some content from the mod into EU5. I'm just not sure how much content will truly be useful as it is. No doubt charges for dynastic arms will fit (and you can still swap the shield frames to make all geometrical shield designs also fit 100%) but then converting the designs to a rectangular flag frame will mean starting from the base wappenwiki design.

Is PS compatible with language translation mods that modify English language files?
I'm your SENPAI 1. okt. kl. 12:29
Does it work with the current version? I have no other mods installed, and my game is up to date, but the mod still doesn’t seem to work. There is no change in the game whether I launch the game with or without this mod.
Archivist77 30. sep. kl. 2:52
@Solo

Also, do you mind if The EU5: Extended Timeline team implements/adapts some content from this mod into EU5:ET if not?
accredited of course, thank you for any response! :steamthumbsup:

@Solo

Hi, I had you friended before I made my steam account totally private.

I remember nearly a decade or so ago you made a abandoned Patrum Scuta port to EU4.

Would you be interested in helping the EU5 Extended Timeline team with porting PS/WappenWiki content and making PS/WappenWIKI stylized content for flags and coat of arms for characters/families.

We definitely would love your support and advice.

I know you have been mostly busy for a few years but if you can't help (which is totally understandable) can Extended Timeline have accredited access to Patrum Scuta Content?
BlueTh4nus 15. sep. kl. 13:39
does this work with TFE?
zitronenT 14. sep. kl. 7:23
Thank you for the update - and thank you for the mod in general. The game just looks so much better with those coat of arms.
I really appreciate your work. :steamthumbsup:

Updated for game version warning

@Hazy
It sounds like something is altering the historical setup from vanilla maybe (probably) ?
Depending on the extent of the issue : If cultures or religions are added or renamed, random generation likely won't be able to function properly. And in that case, titles could still be working properly as those are two separate systems. The inverse is logically also possible (titles not working if renamed/removed but random generation still working if culture & religion setup did not change).
uLi 11. sep. kl. 12:09
@Solo, hope u can update this mod whenever u have time my man! this is the by far one of the greatest mods in all of ck3, really love it!
kazimierzliplanski 9. sep. kl. 6:44
Please update!
Hazy 1. sep. kl. 17:25
Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but the muslim iberian's are using the Catholic COAs for me, using cfp+epe+culture expanded. Tried messing around with the load order but nothing.
Solo  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. kl. 8:25
@LemurKing
I have rephrased the description (wording was a bit lacking you're right).

To be clear, because it indeed was a bit blurry : the mod adds nothing to the map and does not make any attempt to change anything related to gameplay. The scope of the mod is as narrow as possible (emblems, interface for emblems, coa designer), and that's what make it compatible with pretty much anything.
Solo  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. kl. 8:13
Assuming a conversion mod keeps the original shield & banner frames this should still overwrite all the gui files without any problem. There's really no need for a specific version just for that. If they don't, however, and use their own custom frames & shield shapes then it's probably not a good idea to run the two mods together in the first place.

That is to say, that you should really use their work as they intended it to be. And from a (very) quick look in the workshop, Fallen Eagle seems to completely fall into that category.
Solo  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. kl. 8:07
While the mod is not technically incompatible with any TC (just changing the load order should be enough), there's very limited interest in doing so as the whole historical setup on which this is based will be completely gone : you need the historical titles, cultures or religions for the scripted designs and random templates in this mod to work with.

I assume the coa designer would still work regardless. But the historical medieval designs would then mostly be out of place in an alternate historical/fantasy context (yes, to a varying degree ofc).
Félixx 28. aug. kl. 15:28
is this compatible with fallen eagle or no?
BlueTh4nus 24. aug. kl. 11:04
im assuming this will not be compatible with fallen eagle?
LemurKing 18. aug. kl. 17:44
Does anyone know if this mod adds any new provinces / duchies to the game? The description says "Extended coverage of prescripted titles & dynastic arms on the map. Hundreds of new counties & dynasties.", but I'm not sure if it just means it covers new counties or if it adds any.

AI compatible?
Zyrph 16. aug. kl. 10:05
Will you ever add add different coat of arms frames for different cultures?
Ahura 11. juli kl. 7:48
+1 to that "is there a version of this with just the shield frames? i cant play without this but its obv not very compatible with TCs"

This mod fondles my nuts with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker.
Royal Raven 24. juni kl. 20:16
@Ard Feainn Clan and Feudal shapes are slightly different, it is hard to notice, but the bottom for clans has a slight inward curve that comes to point. Where Feudal is normal shield shape.

They are not noticeable right away, you kind of have to look harder.

I think having Clan and Feudal shape more distinct from each other could help the eye spot it more.
TheDentedEar 24. juni kl. 8:13
Hi! I was wondering what your policy is on total conversions using your realm frames/masks (the banner shapes)?
Ard Feainn 21. juni kl. 10:06
Is it intentional that Clan governments share the same 'style/shape' as Feudal governments? It looks a bit odd to have the standard European shield for mostly non-Christian realms.
Royal Raven 15. juni kl. 16:53
Thanks for the fix.
Royal Raven 9. juni kl. 16:51
@Solo, I believe so.
Solo  [ophavsmand] 9. juni kl. 10:29

I came here to add to @outlander7 comment, the Confederation coat of arms are misaligned. I will add screenshot soon.
outlander7 29. maj kl. 5:33
Confederation coat of arms seem misaligned when seen in the diplomacy section of characters?

Otherwise I'm very grateful for your mod and I've been using it for a while now!
Smiley 28. maj kl. 10:55
This is one of those mods that needs to be in the base game. Thank you so much for making and keeping it updated!
Solo  [ophavsmand] 25. maj kl. 3:36
New banner renders for the three DLC types. Hopefully this fixes the alignement problem.
Zyrph 10. maj kl. 10:19
Sent you screenshots in our dms
Solo  [ophavsmand] 9. maj kl. 23:42
Right, so if you have screenshots of what those even look like ingame I can try to fix it on sunday (really not sure how so no hard promise here). For the main menu though, like I wrote in the description, you'll probably have to live with it. Unlike everything else, they chose to make it a custom scripted gui element (probably by mistake), so now I'd have to include the whole main menu gui file to modify its appearance (you dont want me to do that, trust me).
Osman 6. maj kl. 4:30
Hey, firstable thanks for your work !
Do the mod needs an update after the CK3 hotfix ?
Zyrph 5. maj kl. 22:08
Theres a big gap between the horde banner and the bar/crown part
Merten (Max) 5. maj kl. 16:12
Any icon on top of a raised army banner is misaligned and something similar happens on the main screen to the banner next to the "continue" button, when you have a loadable save. I hope I made myself clear enough. I also tested these issues without the mod, it's definitely Patrum Scuta. Would be overjoyed to see them fixed, thank you for your consideration, great mod!
Altsinn 5. maj kl. 10:01
@Solo, the bug with Administrative government CoA's is still present after update. Additionally I see the same issue (a big gap between the crown and the CoA) with Nomad CoA's. I disabled all other mods, un-subscribed & subscribed etc. As Kiyo mentioned - Feudal & Clan governments are fine. Can you please take a look again? Thanks!
Kiyo 5. maj kl. 5:15
Thank you for the update! Really appreciate you doing this thankless job!
STuser2005 4. maj kl. 8:08
lovely mod
Solo  [ophavsmand] 4. maj kl. 6:54
Updated for 1.16 - At least all I can test from my end seem to work as intended. Let me know if any of the DLC stuff is broken.

@ollied105
You'll have to see with them, there's really nothing related to artifacts in the mod so I wouldn't even know where to begin to be honest.

Kiyo 3. maj kl. 1:02
I REALLY like this mod. I cant even look at the vanilla CoA without cringing now. But I noticed Administrative government CoA's after Khans update look weird as the banners have a big gap between the crown and the CoA. Feudal & Clan governments are fine though. I would be most grateful if you could fix this please! Thanks for taking the time to read this too!
hamletsdead 2. maj kl. 9:54
This appears to be working just fine in 1.16 and Khans. Haven't found any blank banners at all.
Ġedryht of Wōden 2. maj kl. 9:38
Upon further research the coa they already added into the game was a historical aesthetic that was attached to horsehair poles anyway. I'll save space & delete my comment later.
