I should update the description, this works best with a mod that changes how regiments of reknown work, because I believe it won't actually apply the stats even if it says they do, it only ends up working with a mod which makes regiments of renown gain experience like normal (tho this is shaky memory, in truth I've been away from modding warhammer for awhile)

It might just be a turn recruitment issue, I think that it may update post-battle with the appropriate stats.

regiments of renown seem to sometimes have the upgardes added to them, sometimes not, even though they're all rank 9. A little funny when my regular reiksguard heavily outperform the supposed elite-of-the-elite RoR.

I like this mod but the new 6.1 update doesn't let me run anything, even if it's showing green and updated. Can anyone confirm it works? Because it doesn't for me.

Try setting the scalar rate to 0.1 instead of the 0.15 that the mod has on default, that should end up with 1.9x
To have exactly 2x it'd have to be 0.111111111111[...]

The scalar for the morale is actually different than the melee attack and defense, I didnt end up mentioning that directly, it by default ends up around 1.8x more by rank 9, lemme know if I can help choose a value for that

Yea sorry I likely wont be able to work on this for awhile
So I wrote what the formula is in the description, if you look into rpfm it'll have a table with those as like the headings, growth rate and growth scalar
If you play around with those in a spreadsheet, you should be able to come to a balance that'll work for you
(Base stat^Growth Rate)*Growth Scalar*Unit Rank
Base stat is just gonna be whatever the base stat is, like melee attack or defense or whatever
Growth rate and Growth Scalar are like the stuff that is actually in the rpfm file, IIRC growth scalar essentially is going to be the one you'll want to decrease, since (again, iirc which I might not be), I increased the growth scalar more since that's the stat that more multiplies the base stat. Though you could decrease both to get the intended effect
Unit rank is just the rank of the unit

more or less, for example i am trying out a veteran mod by cerb that is made for sfo and it is giving lothern sea guard shield rank 3, 12 lead, 3 att, 8 def, 3 acc, 9 rel while yours is 19 11 18 9 6, i was just hoping for a compromise so one that doesn't change xp and gives a little more to make vets feel more worth keeping around

The 2.4x is more just a napkin math, I think it'd vary depending on the stat, but why 2.0x? Do you mean just a bit of a toned down version of this? I could make a alternate version to do that but it'd take a bit

I was also looking for a way to change other stats such as armor and charge attack. But it seems like you also encountered the problem of it not being possible.
However you managed to atleast show it in game. What is the modifiers name? "stat_armor"?

Afaik I don't see why it wouldn't work with it as long as this is below Damned Nations. Though I might evccom3nd against it, damned nations already kinda has its own balance, I've got no idea if this would be fun with it

I just play with a mod to make Regiments of Renown gain XP. However making regiments of renown gain XP also breaks how they're recruited, meaning you have to make it so they can be recruited multiple times. I wanted to keep this mod lightweight and not adding on other stuff so people could choose whatever RoR mod they wanted to

Yeah Regiments of Renown units aren't receiving these buffs, making them much weaker than regular units at max level. I checked in the game file they have "restrict campaign experience gain" ticked. Do you wanna write a script to untick that box for all units who are "is renown"? This way even modded RoR can level up normally again.

There will be some mods that will introduce legendary units, which will not be able to get an upgrade bonus because they are at full level from the start, which will cause them to fall far behind in panel statistics

I currently like the balance, so I probably won't change it. Right now I'm working on another mod, for the sword of khaine, once I finish that one, I might work on releasing a version/versions of this with different values.

This is a great mod but I believe its a bit too powerful. I really like the xp changes to achieve elite units, but instead of 2.35 maybe 2.0 or even 1.85 as a modifier. I have a some horned ones with 120 melee attack. It's just a little too much because it also invalidates the melee effectiveness of lords and heroes. But it's so well made otherwise I am just going to keep using it for now lol.

A rank 7 unit in my game has like +50 melee attack/defense... is that because of the units base stats, or a mod conflict? that seems absolutely insane

There are a few mods that allow RoR to get XP but I use a 2x unit mod that makes all of those incompatible :(

I chose not to add that, to keep the scope of the mod limited and sort of give the impression that you're creating your own Regiments of renown.
This should be compatible with any mod that allows them to gain XP though since that edits different tables than this mod, so you can get one of those seperatetly and it'll work just fine.

Yeah, it'll end up being ~ x2.35 base stat at max level, vanilla was around x1.5 at max level.
A unit with 10 melee defense at max experience would end up with 24 melee defense with this mod The original amount would've been 15 melee defense. The exact amount varies because Warhammer always rounds up

Experience levels required to rank up are increased by around ~x1.4 vanilla.
Meaning that ranks are harder hitting than their cost, but since I felt that in vanilla experience ranks weren't really relevant as much as I think they should be, so I wanted to give them a buff.

The exact amounts that I ended up setting for when it came to x2.35 and that stuff was based on older total wars like Rome and Medieval 2, and how much they increased unit performance on average in those.

Do you mean a rank10 unit would be 10*0.15+1=2.5 times of his orginal MA/MD? Well it would be reasonable if leveling up are indeed much slower, but some races like Cathay and Dark Elf have easy access to newly-recurited rank10 units, which might be a problem I guess...
