it probably because the sprites arent 2x their size to make pixels bigger, for some reason older versions of terraria dont like to read those kinds of sprites

its because its a 1.4.4 pack which some reason has different textures to the 1.4.3.6 npcs

weird, have you tried putting the workshop files directly into tmod's resourcepack folder?
