Hey. If you continue to work on the map, any chance you could get rid of the X on the map and just erase the path. An easy/good tool that I have been using to manually edit the map is GIMP. I just think it may look a bit clearer and neater this way. Thanks

@Arwester The Mod "Last Resistance" is using an older and modified version of ns2_spaceship.
Metamind09 used our map without our knowledge and we DO NOT support them currently!

Last resistence with this map and i only get black screen on joining server when this map is on.

New version is up. We merged some power nodes and added 2 rooms, for further details look at the changelog.

LEVEL REVIEW:
Good sized map. Lots of detail. Lots of props and dark corners for aliens. Excessive amount of power nodes - many could be merged. One major issue, the tech point in Showers doesnt really have 2 enterances making a very cheap location for which ever team occupies it. Showers needs a path from Storage or Hanger C. Make the necessary changes and I will recommend it for servers.

We have this one on our 20 player server "DarkLegion | TheOnosBar", we played a game on it a few days ago and everyone seem to like it. The only thing I notice is there are a alot of power nodes that are useless in the middle of the map.

I have it on "Duions modded Kinderparadies" but beware it is crazily modded. The map is playable, but still has some issues.

Nice map there is a few errors while loading it though.

Good looking map with some cool rooms. Some things need to be changed though. The long hallways won't work with NS2 due to the limitation in draw distance. You need to break up line of sight in some way.
Weapon room tech point is very small and you can't easily get to that rooms RT. How about making it a little bit wider and opening the north wall from the tech point?
There are some dead ends that feel a bit frustrating. Some doors look like you can open them but they are locked. Maybe put a red light on them to make it clear that they are closed? The way Loki did on Kodiak.
I'm looking forward to try this map again later on!

Map is working now.

We had a "file not found" error yesterday. We didn't add a description in steam and that was the reason of the occurring error.

We are planning to build some vents, maybe one or two new paths, but first we will see how it's working for now.

Thx for reporting the spelling mistake. Your map idea sounds interesting. Hopefully we will see a new spaceship themed map.

The aliens would start in the cargo hold (obviously), while the marines would start in the bridge, with a single docked dropship docked with the bridge visible and a marine freighter silently watching from afar, sending reinforcements when needed.

Great job! I was actually thinking about making a space-ship themed map myself! I'm glad to see the NS2 community is still pumping out NS2 material.

It might have been a better idea to add some backstory to the map before actually creating it. It might have gone something like this:

An Alterra cargoship carrying illegal Kharaa samples for study accidentally released its deadly cargo, starting an infestation in the cargo hold. With the crew dead and the ship heading on autopilot towards a heavily populated, inner core planet, all that stands between humanity and the unknown is a small Frontiersmen freighter that happened to be nearby.

To fit the backstory, I would have designed the map as a slightly more civilian ship that revolves around two parts of the map: the crew quarters, brightly lit and clean, and the cargo hold, somewhat dark and cramped.

lol a command point in the shower room? By the way, I can forsee some issues for the alians and cysting as marines can shut down the entire chain by camping one point and prevent any alian expansion from there. You should try adding corridors and pathways that lead out of the main areas to the left and right sides of the map so as to circumvent this possible issue of cyst camping very easily and completing shutting down the alian team through one choke point.

looks good, kyro-stasis pods are always a good thing on any alien-themed space ship.
typos on the map though: you wrote hanger instead of hangar, the onos bar is missing an s.
