Mods that depend on Deep Storage don't recognize this as a replacement. Is this mod a patch for Deep Storage, or some sort of additional functionality?

The code is hanging out in your "steam mods for rimworld" folder (Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100).

Yeah, there are no settings. Mainly because there's a proper port in the works and this was always meant to be a stopgap one more than anything.

They seem to mimic what deep storage did, it's basically a reskin of deep storage assets using the new shelf base. They have similar restrictions to what deep storage does.

Right but my question was: there are restrictions on what the storage can hold (food for baskets, raw materials for skips etc). Deep Storage had a mod setting where you could add and remove items, say for eg that you're running with SeedsPlease and you want to store seeds in baskets. Is there such a mechanism to edit the restrictions in this mod, or is it a case of directly editing the XML if you want to add additional categories?

"These Hampers are made of fabric, they don't hold fabric" I really feel that needs a name change. Even in deep storage it still throws me off. Like clothing rack ok holds clothes gun rack ok holds guns meat hook ok holds bodies cloth hamper ok it holds cloth oh no wait it holds clothes. But. So does the clothing rack.

Are the resource costs inline with the vanilla shelves since they don't allow extra stacks?

If it's based on the new 1.4 vanilla code then it might be less laggy than Deep Storage?
