Neo-feudalism is in theory a system where capital has come to exert such a level of control over society that the very rich enter into a feudal-like relationship with the poor multitudes, particularly in terms of land or tenancy based bondage to a landlord. This relationship only becomes possible because of the institutionally weak powers and controls meant to check the privileges and power of the richest few, which is a core ideological pillar of neoliberalism.
我觉得这个模组挺不错的,感谢你的付出
@dissatisfieduser I'm glad someone is pushing the political envelope of this game's meta. The consistent subtext always gave me pause. This mod is a good conversation starter regarding a more complicated interpretation of the first and second questions (political & economic liberty) and how that might be expressed within this game system. Hell, my profs would've called it an antagonizing term of art. Taking a deeper look at your choices and give some feedback on the disco.
TLDR; We all want to know if FULLY-AUTOMATED-LUXURY-GAY-SPACE-COMMUNISM would defeat the aliens menace trying to skullf*** us. This mod is a step down that path.
The present-day capitalist economy in China is a capitalist economy which for the most part is under the control of the People's Government and which is linked with the state-owned socialist economy in various forms and supervised by the workers. It is not an ordinary but a particular kind of capitalist economy, namely, a state-capitalist economy of a new type. It exists not chiefly to make profits for the capitalists but to meet the needs of the people and the state. ... [T]his state-capitalist economy of a new type takes on a socialist character to a very great extent and benefits the workers and the state. (Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung July 9, 1953)
Here's some extra reading if you're interested in how Mao thought China would transition to Socialism:

If you want to play this and imagine you're "building Communism" or whatever, just boost democracy, eliminate inequality, and use your imagination to fill in the rest.

@REX I'll make the change for Sweden and the rest of the Scandinavian countries as soon as I'm able.
There were mechanical pros and cons in the vanilla system ofc, regarding where you end up on the democracy score and cohesion score; but it is still very much from a lens of liberalism.
As far as I can tell with this mod, it still maintains the pros and cons for which level of government scale you aim for, (with high/medium cohesion still giving their respective pros and cons) - while also re-framing the government score mechanic to be based in materialism (rather than vague/illusory descriptions like "flawed democracy", "full democracy").
A funny effect on my save game tho. I had recently taken control points in Russia and turns out the way I managed/played slipped Russia into the Socialism bracket once I changed to this mod LOL
Having said that, the ability to restore M-L in Russia is pretty based
