I'm starting to hate Source Egnine...

But how does the game remove the sun bloom effect when it's behind the viewmodel tho?

unfortunately thats a source engine limitation. nothing i can do about it

I found a bug. The flares can be seen even when sun is obstructed by viewmodels.
