If you ever update this, consider making it so the Beastmen faction leaders have their horde start at tier 3/4 (if possible). Because this handicaps beastmen campaigns.

Mod still works no prob, no issue.

I gotta add though, ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGING EXPERIENCE.

I genuinely believe this kind of change would work well as an alternate game-mode for the base game (with more fleshing out obv).

Makes early game a lot more interesting, makes getting Tier 5 buildings to access better and/or modded units more tangible, and forces the AI to build taller sooner, and get steamrolled less often.
AI feels "harder", more intelligent, in general a lot more fun to play against suddenly. This will always have a home in my modded campaigns moving forward. I will never NOT glaze this enough.

Sigmar's Heirs stops this from working on Altdorf when playing as Franz I notced but all other capitals work fine still.

Still works with my 400+ mods, but it makes every provincial capital tier 4 instead of just faction capitals.

So my capital stayed at level 1/2, but all AI capitals started at 4.

Thanks for bringing this to WH3. What's still missing here is the mod configuration menu, that you could use to set both the tier and who this applies to (can include/exclude hordes, AI).

Try running it on the new patch, I bet it works fine. I won't be able to "update" till the weekend.

I say "update" because usually there isn't any change required, and it's simply the launcher giving a visual indicator that this was created on an old version.

So I took your mods, modify the flamingo script
value 4 by 5
because some faction rolls over me from the start with their big unit but I play tk not easy
I keep it for me for the moment but if you allow me to republish it for those who want it then it's a pleasure.

oh yes you absolutely must have the same mod order for all players in coop!!!!!!!

Hey, just to give an update! Turns out this mod likes being top of the mod order list when paired with some other mods, like expanded spell lists. This persisted with just this mod loaded too. Once we set it to the same mod load order for all participants it worked. I just posted because so far we never ran into that issue but I guess with 4 players and different computers things can be weird?

Nothing changed with the mod overnight, last update was a week ago.

Have you tried a new campaign with just this mod? Try that just to test and see if the first few turns work. If you get an error/desync please report exactly when and how it happens.

It sounds like you had an existing save with multiple mods ("changing mods in play")? Adding or removing mods from an existing save is a very risky move, likely to cause more problems then fix.

My best suggestion when running a multiplayer campaign is to MAKE COPIES OF ALL THE MODS YOU START THE CAMPAIGN WITH. That way if any of the mods update while you are playing, you and your friends can just use your backup copies.

Hey, I am trying to run a multiplayer and we love this mod but my group & I spent a large amount of time changing the mods in play. Overnight something went wrong using this mod, I was wondering if there was some insight into how we could fix this? (We tried using this as the only mod loaded & it still created the error)

Well it is, just sigmar's heris also runs their own script and it sets Aldorf to 2. See the comments below were people talk about how to fix it.

@Dov use rpfm and edit sigmar heirs. it has a line that sets altdorf to level 2 for whatever reason. just change it to 4.

Valkia has a hard start with this mod, as she has to defeat a T4 settlement with a 11 unit army in order to get her first settlement

Are you running any other mods? If you start as lets say Karl Franz does Altdorf start at T4?

I can't start directly as her because I don't have the DLC, but I looked at her on turn 1 and it seems to be working.

What faction and campaign are you playing?

Just checked and it seems to be working on the new patch. Note that only PROVINCE CAPITALS will start at tier 4. All minor settlements will remain. If your faction starts in a minor settlement then you won't be upgraded to tier 4. For example As Karl Franz, Altdorf starts at T4 because it is the capital of it's province. However, Grombindal, starts with a minor settlement that is only T2.

Probably, this is a self contained script. This script only runs at the very beginning of turn 1 of a campaign. It will be very clear if it works or not.

Just try both and see what happens.

You are correct in noticing that difference, the original mod had options for configuring that. I do not yet have those scripting abilities, and I didn’t want to have a specified list of locations to upgrade because that would have to be maintained as patches add/move factions.

I’m hoping the full mod gets ported over with all its awesome configuration options.
