if cat is moved off ground by force, set cat into a different falling state, one where it animates through a series of sprites that make it look like it's flipping around the X-axis. imagine blowing up a cave only to for something to come barreling down and it turns out to be a cat

I like how there's settings that'll let you determine whether or not you can blow up the cat. I've set it to immortal. There's now just a random cat falling from the sky after massive explosions. Nothing survives except the cat, because it lands on its feet. There's also settings for how many cats you want. None of this is mentioned in the description, but it's there, and it's rad.

Feature request: Cats should "move towards player" when in a very close radius (long-wand distance?). Plus maybe a slower walking speed? And stopping when next to the player? So that cats rub against our ankles.

i retract a portion of my previous comment, do not allow the invulnerability of cats to be disabled under any circumstances, ever

make them invulnerable to all damage by default and prevent users from disabling it unless they pay up

Otherwise it should be relatively easy to change the sprites & sound effects of this mod to make a dog version if you're interested, go ahead and reuse as much as you'd like.
The only thing I ask you don't reuse is the voice acting clips.
