I don't think it ruins it that bad, I mean you can see him in some promotional screenshots in store page. I think it's fine like that, if you don't want them to see him, you can just start Chapter Zero beforehand and just pause the game maybe

I know it's been a while since you made this, but would it be possible to have a version (either of this mod or just the original night map) that doesn't include Wilson? I've been wanting to introduce EZ2 to some friends but having him there on the title screen ruins the Aperture surprise a little bit

original map doesn't have version stamp display and not listed in chapterbackgrounds.txt, so it wouldn't appear as background menu map after certain Chapter by default.
