@Gabriel We've just gotten busy with other projects, and don't have time to fix bugs every time the game gets a patch or a mod with custom hearts gets updated. In hindsight, modded heart support was a pretty bad idea, it made this mod like 10 times harder to maintain.

why this mod is no longer supported?

also because of hourglasses - i now have two eternal fly

i had a bug
when i used blue hourglasses that turn back time - ALL my blue fly's turns into red fly's
please fix it

I had the bug with the flies not turning around the character and staying frozen, so I did what @ryon recommended (I went into data\duke and deleted the file inside).
I play a game, the next day I restart the game I play this character and again this problem.
Isn't there another solution besides doing this technique every time?

@hehe Zivs, Looks like the Drive file link didn't go through. But in any case, we don't really support this mod anymore so any bugs will unfortunately not be fixed (unless its an easy fix). I don't know much about Repentogon myself, but if I had to guess, it may be screwing with custom entity IDs in such a way that it's causing those items to spawn flies with IDs that aren't supposed to be spawned (in this case, flies for modded hearts). Sorry!

I have repentogon, maybe that is causing problems? I've been enjoying the mod very much :3

srry to bother, have the charecters been changed? the google docs says duke and T. duke should have two HP but they have 3 HP ingame??? I guess this was a buff but IDK. ty for the great mod 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

For anyone having trouble with the fly spawn at the start of a run, try deleting the mod's data in the data\duke directory and relaunching. This bug has been super inconsistent for us during testing, but this appears to be a fix for it.

all of dukes flies spawn on top of each other and don't rotate

Ok,I figured it out why Duke's familiars can't be used with Sewing Machine,because of this:

Duke's gullet can spawn repentance plus heart flies when I don't have that mod installed, is that intended?

for some reason, his three heart flies fail to spawn, and apparently the game is trying to spawn them even when i'm not playing as him? i think this is lagging my game really badly as well.

@PeopleLikeStuff We had them all supported for a bit there! But they kept changing mechanics and we would have to change too, it is what it is :o

Not surprised by the decision to be done with more custom heart support, Repentance Plus adds so many hearts it's hard to even keep track lmao

@asmithzoo765 Yeah we've gotten this report a few times, we've been trying to look into a fix but can't determine the cause, sadly we haven't had as much time to work on this as we would like. Sorry for the inconvenience, we're hoping to get a fix out as soon as possible.

if it's not for the time being,then that thought makes me think that someone else would make a remaster of this mod. And maybe,they would add more mod support.

@cadetpirx Sadly I think we're pretty much done with custom heart support, it's a serious pain in the ass to do and the more we try to support the more unstable this mod gets in general.

TBH I think once we fix the issue with flies staying in one position and everything's in a playable state, we're pretty much gonna stop support on this mod for good. Sorry!

When i start a run as non tainted duke the innermost ring of flies all stay in one position on top of eachother and dont move, even using duke's gullet and picking up hearts again doesn't fix it?

IDK if there is somewhere to place bugs, but when you get hearts as Duke the flies stay in place instead of acting like an orbital unless you exit the game and come back.

@Badsy the Edgecat The latest update adds some extra functionality to make Pocket of Flies a little more useful for characters who aren't Duke. If you aren't Duke and have the trinket, but don't have enough flies, you will be able to get devil deals as normal. If you have enough flies, you'll buy it with those. Along with that, any devil deal purchases while having the trinket (Duke or not), you will get two red heart flies :)

@Radic is having a bad time Do you have any other mods installed? We have never been able to reproduce that issue.

Whenever I use Rotten Gullet with Tainted Duke the game crashes, whether or not there are enemies in the room. :o

@cadetpirx Thanks for the suggestion! I don't believe we're going to add support for that mod, as we don't currently have ideas for it and the mod doesn't even support all base game characters yet. It also doesn't look like there is any direct interface to easily add effects for characters, but if the mod adds more character support and a way to add custom character effects, let us know and we could look into it a bit more!

I finally figured out why the Pocket of Flies and Lil Husk EID descriptions were flickering, both descriptions make use of EID's dynamic icons feature, the thing is, the formatting is slightly incorrect, which I presume, was causing the flickering issue.

Lil Husk for example has {{Collectible[268]}} in its description, but the correct format is {{Collectible268}} without the brackets around the item ID, same thing goes for Pocket of Flies, removing the brackets completely fixed the issue for me and both descriptions are displayed correctly now.

am i just missing something, or is Pocket of Flies an outright detrimental trinket for any characters who arent Duke? it doesnt seem to say anything about an effect that allows you to GET orbital health flies, so it just seems to do absolutely nothing unless you possibly find another item from this mod/ are Duke

This is pretty nice, I like the gameplay with this character.
