Steel and Thunder already replaces French knight with a Gendarme, this definitely should be turned into an in-between unit instead.

You mean like cataphracts? About this unit, well i will see if thats possible, but it might not be anytime soon.

Would you consider creating a mod that uses this units assets to create a Heavy Cavalry unit in between the Knight and the Heavy Chariot?

Possibly called an Armored Horseman or something similar?

Steel and Thunder doesn't add such a unit, and it feels bad to go almost an entire era and a half without an upgrade.
