regardless of any other delays, we will be updating ASAP once the new HOI4 update comes out, we will have to as there are some game breaking changes being made, however the good news is the Redux Naval system is already open to all with MTG being made free, and soon vanilla

@ Strat, just noticed your response. Other than the market crash the rest of it works rather well. I can almost make it out of the event with minimal damage. The issue was the factory and rail shut downs. Some of the state policies do help, getting Male suffrage and a basic mandatory education helps. Just that the senate system is akin to pulling teeth. Even at a projected 80% success it will still choose to fail. Getting hours set for the 10-14 hr work day also works. Still takes far too long to get those passed into law.The one State decision to not rebuild the castle comes with far too many penalties, given that the funds, resources and man power are going to better domestic investment.

After some checks, the build slot decision is available for some of the other nation eg: Austria, Russia and the UK, however it is missing from China.
Still I like the Mod and look forward to the next update.

I can look into the generals experience thing, we havent touched that mechanic so vanilla functionality should still apply.

Chinese content, like all nations, is still being worked on

The found command decisions in theory make high commands for those branches available

The build slot decision already exists, it should be visible?

Also i recently tweaked supply functionality on the github version

Suggestion
Decisions tab: include the yearly option to spend 100 PP to expand/add a building slot to a random province. There are 81 building slots per region (most are still locked after 50 years, just saying).
Supply – add OX/Horse Cart/Wagon or similar for the pre truck period to cover supply needs (Limbers for Artillery already exist).

Observation
Generals gain very little experience then completely stop, despite fighting revolutions and uprisings for years (no traits develop).
The focus trees become less effective as the game progresses, went from Emperor – Regency – Emperess – Regency – Emperor. The last two trees mostly consisted of PP for completing a focus. Emperor Tongzhi’s tree seems to be the final one available and was completed some years earlier, is this the final tree for Great Qing?

What does ‘Found Naval Command’ and ‘Found Air Command’ actually do in game?

1857 start as Great Qing, after 50 years in game – still have Agrarian Society, Pre-Industrial Era and Traditional Army! In game tooltips state they change by decision or focus however, neither have been available. Is there a console command to change these?

Economy system is the headline, various improvements to performace, expansions to the tech tree, additional content for the American Civil War, expanded content for the CSA, Spain, Russia, really just a lot that i cant quickly sum up but you are welcome to peruse our dev diaries and changelogs to see for yourself

Hey @Rogue_Falcon, I'm the eco guy.

Right now the panic is not very well integrated into the economy system, and there isn't building ownership yet (I do plan on adding it! Both state owned and corporations) so everything is owned atm by private pops.

I do want to better model the different economic systems too, including a Vic2 style system of gating certain actions... so a Lasseiz Faire England would not be able to directly expand or modify industries (though they can fund them through the Investment Opportunities) but someone like Prussia would be able to essentially do what you've been doing.

Not to mention reworking the panic to actually be an economic panic instead of just causing some damage to buildings and a mildly annoying modifier (along with reducing your economic situation).

Regardless, glad you're having fun with the eco system! If you have any critiques about the economy system in particular, please say. Especially anything QOL related.

Not suggesting that, More a critique on the in game event. Assuming That even if one chose to make economic decisions focused on stability in anticipation of a global crash, The hard coded event would still wipe your gains. Example of my own game play involves upgrading rail lines and ports, followed by bringing resource production up to date technologically. Last being industries and farms in that order. Though this tends to progress very quickly. Politics focused on social reforms enhancing stability. And choosing not to rebuild the castle and reallocate money and resource to domestics should have more long term benefits. It can be reconstructed later. And still got enough funds in stock that if the option to support the rail lines and factories existed it should last more than long enough. That and expanding domestic demand should more than cover lost revenue.

If im understanding you correctly, the issue with your suggestion is that extended interventionism like youre suggesting wasnt part of the conversation in the prussian government as far as we know

Pure capitalist economies tend to be Vulnerable to such events. Prussia's saving grace was it's mixed state owned economy and heavy regulations. Still, the 1857 crash is fairly frustrating on the point that I do have a fair amount of cash on hand. No option to use the surplus to help, or nationalize the railroad. Not even going to touch the conversation of using the army for some form of internal work. Can't do anything until 1861 after the reform focuses.

I dont expect so. Prussia along with much of Europe was affected by the ripple effects of the panic of 1857, while Prussia is dealing with some minor inconveniences, i can assure you the US was dealing with worse.

So far I really have appreciated the detail in the economic system. It doesn't seem as sluggish compared to the base game. Only thing I'm not real keen on is being forced into the global stock exchange sub system. Given the first major event in 57' is the railroad crash. Playing as Prussia my economy was doing better that some of my neighbors, still had to deal with rail and factory shut downs. Will there be a way to opt out of the exchange or at the least have a backup internal one.

We're already working on a liberal path for the unification of germany, presupposing Wilhelm I's son comes to the throne earlier (historically feasible)

But speaking personally i dont think a '48 or '15 start date makes much sense in HOI4 strictly. The idiom of HOI4 is to represent *industrialized warfare*, and there's barely enough industrial powers in 1857 to make sense. I think the team past and present has done an amazing job representing all the preindustrial and even primitive powers in the world. But when you have to start introducing unindustrialized great powers into the game . . . it just breaks down IMO

Started as Qing in 1857 in Ironman mode. When the year reached somewhat near 1900, the save file changed flag (to revolutionary China with coloured stripes if I remember correctly while in the game it was still emperor/regency) and become unavailable.
This problem repeated.
