It seems like the new DLC added unique stances, like just one specific lord can use it (instead of the entire faction). That can be a great mod, stalk only for Skarsnick, magical teleport only for slanns and Teclis, etc.. maybe removing the teleport ambush, because Lizardmen and HEF with that kind of gimmick is just overpowered as hell (it's already broken for Tzeentch, lol)

Man I wish now that the level of the web buffed this distance. Or allowed faster travel along the web's node once they get green or something. This is very fun to play with

You could look into skarsnik now as only him in his faction has stalk stance at the start. His whole faction can get it after some building in 8peaks I think.

@Chalex The First thing I would check, if there is another mod, that adds a form of teleportation to a faction or that changes the symbols for the stances. I would assume, that the conflict stems from two mods either changing the same thing or giving conflicting directions. I wish I could give you a more targeted idea, but maybe the people over at the modding den discord-server have a better one, since they are way more knowledgeable than I am.

@toby van kenoby If I had more time atm, I would like to connect it to the geomantic web. You either need a Slann, or add it to other armies, via strengthening the connection.

maby letting all armies use the slann teleport is not such a bad idea lore-wise. They are leading the lizardmen from behind the lines, their magic is so powerful, it's not just batte-magic, they can communicate with their minions over vast distances, they pull the strings from their star-chambers, only a few slann go to war with their hosts. that's my take anyways.

I really like this mod, thank you for making & maintaining it.

Unfortunately I'm having a mod conflict with another (unknown) mod that's stopping the teleportation stance from appearing in the stance selection menu. It still works fine when this is the only mod active. I've tried starting a new game with my normal mod list minus any mods that seem like they would obviously affect stances, but that hasn't helped.

Before I spend ages trying to track down the problem mod, do you have any guesses about what sort of mod might conflict? I've tried removing caravan mods and new faction/lord mods. Thanks in advance for any help you can give :)

If you want to limit the stance to slann, you could write a simple script and apply the stance as a temporary stance with turns set to 0 to make it permanent. This is the script command you'll need: cm:military_force_add_temporary_stance()

While I understand the lore reason behind limiting it to slans... I mostly use Slans as lords anyway for the heal magic. Would make it even less likely that I try out other lords ;)

I find a way.
Make a new invisible skill that non-slann lords are born with(check Points on Creation).
skill effect: wh3_dlc20_effect_wom_cost_teleport_stance
value: 500
so it costs non-slann lords 240 mana to teleport which make it actually impossible.

also you can change the UI of the teleport icon as well if you're interested, under UI > stance_icons > whatever lizardmen culture name is , and UI > stance_icons > warhammer2 > whatever lizardmen culture name is , and add a image named military_force_active_stance_type_tunneling.png (you could copy a edict UI thing or something)

You can easily give it to only slann led armies by maybe tying it to a trait, however im not sure how this would work for their default traits unless there is a pool that only the slann lords use, maybe it could be assigned by a new trait that is added by a script to all slann lord agent types

Could you please consider making a mod that gives Teleport only to Nakai faction?
His armies are so slow on the campaign map, and giving Teleport to every Lizardmen AI faction on the map is also a bit too strong.

If anyone wants to add the ability to have ambush with teleport than you have to modify the pack. You need to include the campaign_features_table and have the tunnel_attack enabled for whatever group you want

So, when I try to use the teleport Stance, it doesn't let me attack with the army (like Kairos would), i don't know if this is a bug, a mod conflict, or working as intended.

This works for me thus far without any update.

@Occam's Chainsaw, if you do change this to only work on Slann led armies, I hope it's possible to allow Lord Kroak's army to teleport as well. Given the incredible power of the Slann, it does make sense to me that all armies can teleport, or perhaps owning Lord Kroak gives all armies the ability to teleport.

I agree with the sentiment of this being fine to apply to all lizardmen armies lorewise, but at the same time totally understand wanting it to be balanced, so the suggestions of making it a new ritual I think is a pretty good idea. Also if you could apply @Vulcanizor's suggestion, that'd be awesome!

I think its loreful to apply to all armies. I definitely remember reading about the Slann Teleporting Armies while staying behind themselves. Maybe require a ritual to be active or something if you want it to be rarer.

Checking Taurox's stance, since his unique stance was tied to his trait. Then give Slann's trait a teleport stance.

But I don't know how about Kroak tho.

maybe add it as a trait that the Slann, including Kroak, Mazdamundi, and the generic Slann lords, have at X level(or just base) that adds it? That way armies that don't Have Slann with that trait do not have the stance?
I don't know how feasible that would be, but I have seen some pretty crazy stuff be made before.

To be fair, nothing stops a Slann from teleporting other armies somewhere, so to an extent, the universal application is reasonable.
