I half way made the charging mechanic exactly how you described below, i also wanted it to be visually shown, but ran into animation problem which made the whole thing look wanky. Maybe i will release it with next patch without charging animation, if i get it to work properly.

also dont know if this is an error or not, but ton of status effect based red messages in the console on spawn.

The listed weapons are among them, all the same error about the target of status effects potentially being wrong. If they work fine and this isnt an issue, cool, otherwise heres these names. x[numberhere] is how many times that weapon was mentioned

Carbine,SMG x3, Bullpupx2,Burst Cannon x3,shotgunx 2, burst rifle, sawed off shotgun, PDW, Assault rifle x2, HEL Gun, Double tap rifle, Auto pistol, Micro SMG, Sniper rifle, Rhino,

The error is
Potential error in StatusEffect (weaponname, RangedWeapon), Target not defined, the effect might not work correctly. Use target="This" if you want the effect to target the entity it's defined in. Setting "This" as the target.

Idea for the charge mechanic- When holding the melee weapon in the Aim position, which should be trackable I think, give the player a slowly rising buff over the amount of charge time you want, that is turned into damage and expended upon swinging.

after testing a lot, I just realized that I tried to find the "Ammo Pack" recipe on the crafting that was removed from the latest version of this mod and didn't realized that all of the ammo for the weapons uses vanilla resources now, my bad on my part.

Idea for charge mechanic on melee.
In the code, there "should" be a tag that states its a melee weapon, while in the ready position for striking, after a delay, you could gain a melee dmg up for the next hit.

Similar to the hunter gene effect

I have made Sniper Rifle, HEL Rifle and their ammo extremelly rare and quite expensive. Personally i only found HEL Rifle once. Also they unlock at shops after 50% difficulty. Unforutanately, i cannot play a lot to test lately. So some things might be not balanced yet.
When i started creating this mod i was aiming for hardcore spawner mods, such as mine which i did not post here, because the weapons themselves are different from vanilla ones. They shoot faster, have more ammo in mags, some are supposed to be powerful. Anyway i am always open for any feedback.

I sincerely hope that the HEL Rifle is rather hard to get, because while I understand the ammo cost is rather high, the ability to annihilate a Veteran Mudraptor, the tankiest sub boarding creature, in one shot is a little ridiculous.

Awesome mod. Despite some bugs one of my favs. Quite infusive into whole atmosphere of Barotrauma. Cool work! Keep it up :cigarskull:

Shotgun and sawed-off shotgun have a bug with a flashlight, it only works in one direction, if you turn aiming to the left, the flashlight shines in the wrong direction

All weps uses the same base as vanilla weapons, so you will have to put a flashlight in a gun's slot. This feature i added as soon as they implemented it.

The only thing about 1.0 is that 1.0 natively supports flashlight on weapons without any mods (new slot on all weapons which accepts flashlight) so I was wondering if this mod uses "variantof" as base or created weapons as new items, in later case it would probably not support flashlight feature from 1.0

I haven't checked the new update yet, so i don't really now if anything happend to compability with current version. I made guns balanced and keep rebalancing them every build if i find any too weak or too strong, you can also look at Weapons stats thread and see all the numbers.

Well, it is not intended but i did not encouter this case myself. Probably i screwed something up right before uploading this update. Gotta fix this i guess :D

Just installed, and noticed that my armoury safe/closet got filled with basically all of the guns, including I assume very good ones like burst cannon and sniper rifle. Is that intended? Usually there are only vanilla helmets/armor/grenades/occasional shotgun.

These are really good (huge fun of GTFO), but could you edit them or make a separate mod that restricts larger weapons such as the assault rifles, LMG, DMRs, and Sniper Rifle to the toolbelt/"back" slot? I feel like that would make this mod better (having an inventory full of these higher capacity, full-auto weapons feels a bit OP imo).

Could try keeping the AmmoPack as a necessary component for HEL ammo, in case you wanted to keep those extra strong.

You could also just have the packs act as the singular component to make the other magazine types, as a kinda alternative recipe thing.

Thanks. Right now i'm updating weapon's visuals, because these ones look too bright and textureless in some places. I also lso changed crafting recipies (will upload along with new visuals) to vanilla-like ones, i will remove Ammopack or give it some other purpose idk yet.

Fantastic mod! Easily my go-to set of weapons no matter which role I'm playing.

I'm definitely voting for both vanilla crafting and integrating the weapons, but everything is still pretty great as-is.

100% of my gameplay is captain role, so i didn't recall it :D In this case it doesnt work, because you cant craft weapons, only mags and they have no quality
