While i do agree that this mod definitely clashes with the game's depressive tone, the idea of this poor kid dreaming about "the good ending" in terms of people accepting them for being gender nonconforming while still having nightmares about being harassed in the bathroom by those same peers, being shunned by their mother, literally dying, and of course being flipped off by the sky itself, gives this mod just the right amount of comical whiplash when thought about for more than 2 seconds to be worth of an install, like, and reward from me.

Hopefully, like F2PISS said, someone makes "the good ending" for the other nightmares so this mod stands out less lol

I feel like this sort of criticism is never something I see on mods that don't involve anything relating to LGBTQ+.

A positive memory not fitting the theme of Isaac is valid criticism, but I feel the need to acknowledge what feels like a very tangible (and not just in isaac mod comment secitons) particular bias/criticality towards things that're more inclusive.

Oh absolutely! This is just intended as something light and fluffy. I did consider that the crying child portraits didn't quite match the tone of this mod, but it doesn't look possible to tweak them for individual nightmares and it would be very silly to have him smile sweetly while recollecting the rest of his trauma :P

I made this because I wanted it and some of my friends wanted it. I'm proud of it and I'm happy to be able to share it with other people, too.

I too agree that this mod does not adhere to the message and the tone of the nightmares. Trans rights are human rights, but, I feel that this would be much more fitting in a larger mod of not just the few nightmares with Issac being bullied for being trans, but also all the other grievances of his life being corrected. Maybe have the middle finger cloud wave hello? Maybe even giving the collapsed, fetal positioned characters a happier demeanor, even if the change is the will to sit up in their bouts of depression?

If this mod makes you happy, I fully approve, but I feel like the mod misses the point of those dreams. Isaac clearly was traumatized by the mockery, and just pouring whiteout over the traumatic events of their life won't fix their problems.
