I think I may have found the problem.
I was curious if someone made a metal sound mod for the cricket bat and found this.

In the description, the creator says that the baseball bat, cricket bat, and nightstick all use the same swing and hit sounds.

Can you check for conflict files
All the file name in the vpk seems to be correct

Just checked, it's almost fixed; the deploy sound is working but the swing and impact sounds are still the default cricket bat

missed an 's' in the folder name, fixed it now
no one reported the sound not working so I didnt know to fix it until now

When using it in-game, it still makes the default cricket bat sounds. It's really weird because I can *see* the custom sounds in the VPK file. I don't have anything that conflicts with it and I don't think anything else I have might have an effect on it. So Idk if I'm missing something...
