2002? zomboid hasnt even been around that long
The mod hasn't been updated since 2002. I think it's more of an issue that the author just isn't playing PZ anymore.
Thank you for giving a constructive criticism. I really appreciate that.
About the damage effect I guess it would be simple just to hide the black color of the overlay and give it a bit of more transparency, same as the tiered one... But is kind of immersive if you think about it, like you are so tiered and in the middle of the night it would really be hard to see.
About the wet effect I would have to recreate from scratch... I was aiming for a vibe like: Your clothes feels wet and you wiped the sweat on your face.
Right now idk if I can update it but I was planning on extending the mod and create new effects for different situations, but I still have to learn how to code in .lua. So when I do it I will sure to diversify the texture options.
1: A version that is even less intrusive, when you've got the time for it.
Cause I think the overlay is supposed to "indicate" when a player is damaged or tired, not punish them for it, some of the darkening visual combined with night time is basically blindness :p
2: The "wet" effect would be more like, water droplets or some dampness effect, the one we have looks like a fog indicator
And btw great work on the zombie overlay, I always thought "this" is how they feel I don't mind that one being intrusive since .. Well... Dead..!
Imagine like a crazy lightning storm, screen all covered in blood and scratches, adrenaline screaming
Edit: Just tested, looks good
