The machine gun sound is bad (Too much fire rate I guess), it covers other game sounds.

Yes, Unlike rockets, all non-wired guided missiles(including Hellfire) are cannot be used without enemy crews in the vehicle.
remember : Only vehicles with 'enemy crews'
