Ah. I think then the paintable one works only if the texture is done outside the game, and then imported over (and yeah, I spent a pair of hours to understand why it didn't work...and that's the only thing I thought about it)

nope, just checked, paintable skin still stays white, only works with the color tool that changes everything on the car

cool enought that i want it to actually be made into a vehicle. also rear seems to be similar to the oldsmobile cutlass and whatnot
