Great mod but it sucks you can't do anything else whilst smoking. A 20/30 sec one would be welcomed!!! :)

i use your code to patch spice foods files, that mod cant be override by direct override. as far i know its the only one, replace your function on the spacy food mod.
i was getting mad cose i couldnt find the cause of the mod not working. info for other users, cose who dont want a burnig assburrito

@Atropine That's really weird. The only thing that the mod does is make the action of smoking longer. So I basically set a number to a higher value. So nothing I can do about it. But thanks for the warning.

I want to make a note for subscribers as well as for the author about an interaction I have found with this mod and another. If you have the "Drop That Cigarette" mod on your world with this one it can create a pretty big issue. I wanted to make smoking a hassle for my character by installing this mod and making quitting much more of a realistic goal, but one day I forgot to smoke (with the DTC mod it makes you sick if you don't smoke for a while) and my character ended up being sick for 2 whole months before I said screw it and disabled the mod. I'm not sure what the fix would be for this: Just wanted to mention it.

@Atophite I see thank you! If I know the duration then its fine really, I'll just have to make longer audio files :p I still would like to "use" your mod because I want it to be optional for people who just want 10s smoking. I will ofcourse include a link to here and such in my post!
I honestly prefer your duration alot more haha, 60s is more realistic instead of inhaling the entire thing in under 10seconds.

@Frits191, I've created a Better Smoke Sound mod that incorporates an 8-second smoke sound clip. The clip is automatically looped. But since your mod is much more advanced, I'm uncertain about how to address the current problem you're experiencing.

I realized that the length might be a bit unusual. Even though I knew it wasn't precisely 30 seconds, I found it to be sufficiently long to meet my needs. In the code, I used 3000, assuming it represented milliseconds, but it seems to be measured in a different unit, maybe ticks? I'm not entirely certain. I will edit the mod description that the timing is 1 minute instead of 30 seconds.

Heya! I made smoking sounds overhaul and I was interested in adding compatibility for your mod! I would make longer versions of mine, and if both our mods are installed, it'll play the longer ones.
Assuming you are okay with this, I had a question, I'm not sure if its me but when ingame the smoking time (no other mods installed) is not 30s, its more around 1m 02s, so I was wondering what time it actually is? Thats the length I'd make my audio files. I looked in the comments and your code but it all looked fine to me.

I can confirm that this mod conflicts with longer eating times

Just a heads up, removing this mod from my local server removed all cigarettes from the world and they dont spawn anymore either. Also using the smoker mod

@Rabbitowitz Thank you for liking it. It's really hard to get into modding for this game. It will take some time since it isn't really documented. I'm not really actively modding right now but I did a quick search and there is a file called IsInventoryTransferAction.lua, look for the function ISInventoryTransferAction:new the transfer time of each item will be decided there (if im correct). Look at maxTime.

why not give it a right click menu option simular to watering crops, where you select smoke cigarette and it gives you a range of smoke time from 15-45 seconds or whatever?

sometimes you just need to hoover a dart and get on with your day, other times you're lounging, ya know?

@곰탱 Go to your steam folder -> steamapps -> workshop -> content and then there should be a folder named 108600 -> my workshop id (2855493549) -> mods -> LongerSmokeTime -> media -> lua -> client -> isEatFoodSmokeAction.lua. in the file there should be a local variable named eatTimeLong = 3000; change it to a shorter duration like 1000. Let me know if that works. If it doesn't I can upload the mod with a shorter duration just for you <3. There is no easier way to change it in game options.

@Kyrox It should work with autosmoke but I have to confirm this. Also with the mod Smoker I have to check for compatibility.

You can't do two actions at the same time. But you can walk, sit and sneak while smoking :)
