I've been very busy with my life recently and haven't had the time to play much TWW, let alone mode for it.
I'll get back to the banners one day.

In the mean time I've updated this mod and the Unleashed the Beasts mods to they show up as up to date.

I don't think it's integrated to sfo no, but it's compatible with everything, including sfo.

And yes I'm still planning on porting that mod, but due to its massive size (it's something that slowly grew over the first two games) porting it in one go has proven pretty difficult, especially since CA has changed the fundamentals of textures with TWW3, which forces me to redo a lot of the stuff, and redoing stuff is way, WAY less fun than doing it for the first time.

I've been very busy in my life too so that didn't help, but I should have more free time soon so keep an eye out for some news :D

I've just read in the comments that you'll eventually be porting your banner mod to WH3, which made me super happy! It plays a massive role in my enjoyment of WH2 up to this day. In fact, that mod plays a big role in me getting back to WH2 from time to time, period. The flavour and flair I find it adds to the game makes it one of my favorite enhancements. Those High Elven flags in particular are something else, I absolutely love them.

I feel like I can say it even spawned an interest in me with installing RPFM and trying to use that, recently. Which allowed me to better appreciate the sheer amount of work that you put into your banner mod, by the way, because I've opened a few of my favorite mods to see how they were made.

Sorry I dont mean the fog of war. I mean the fog which gets removed by your mod. In the higher camera zoom levels, especially the last zoom before switching to tactical camera, the settlements and armies mostly off centre of the screen dont show their banners and logos until you hover them to the middle of the screen. CA probably did that because of their fog implementation, but currently you dont have much information with these zoom levels. IMO It would be a good idea for your mod or a submod to your mod if it is managable to modify.

Hmm, I'll have to look into that, but I'm not sure it can be done easily.
Maybe the simplest way to do it is to instale the fog of war removal, flicker it on and off at the start of the campaign to reveal all the map once, and I should reveal all the factions? Maybe?

can you or somebody else activate the banners of settlements and armies which are usually in the fog, the zoom currently does not give proper informations unfortunately

Oh no, you'll get it, eventually.
I don't have as much time to mod as I used to, and there is sadly a lot of stuff that need to be redone for the mod to work in TWW3.

Please bring back your Banner mod. Yeah it had some issues and yeah not everybody liked all the flags. But boy oh boy does the game look outright ugly without it.

Hey Kranyum, yes I still plan on porting the mod to TWW3, I'm just very short on time and motivation these days, but my plan is to get it out for the chaos dwarf dlc.

hey [HN] mate - do you plan on releasing the faction banner overhaul mod for WH3? I used that mod in WH2 a lot and it was one of my favorites. Especially the little part where it changed the unit icons in battle which made it so much more clear over all.

I'll be doing some updates asap and maybe even push a new stuff out if I have the time.

An update is always healthier and more helpful my friend.

This mod never had, and never will crash. It's literally just a couple of value update in a db that's never touched by the devs. It doesn't even need to be updated.
