Thank you for this fantastic quality of life mod. No more having to tow cars in order to clear the roads. So far I haven't noticed any conflicts with the other vehicles mods in my load order.

@Star - All you need to do to make this mod viable for B42 is add a common, and 42 folder, and copy/paste your mod inside. Maybe update the mod info is you like, and add an icon image. No changes needed in your code.

Other than that, update your workshop file to include B42 flag, and you're good to go.

Fantastic mod. Works exactly as described. Genuine 5 star mod without any bloat like the other mods on the workshop.

You're right that I should offer more information, but in my defense, it seemed that the mod work was on hold considering it's been almost a year since the update (I get that this is normal for mods that add basic functionalities that "just work"), and more so that the discussion was pretty old.

I do not have "wrecks with parts", but I do have some of the tuning atelier mods as well as some of Ki5's vehicles. I also tried with vanilla vehicles and still didn't see an option to wreck, and yes, the problem is that the option does not appear. Each time I've made sure to take parts from the engine; Unless you mean there is some other way of breaking the engine (without just driving it around without a hood to total the car I guess), I'm not sure what's going wrong and what mod might be conflicting with this.

"Doesn't work" isn't helpful. Some info would help, e.g. menu doesn't appear or menu does nothing etc., also what menu or vehicle mods you use.

Doesn't seem to work, at least in multiplayer. Haven't tried in Singleplayer.

This is almost exactly what I was looking for. Ideally what I would like is the ability to break down a vehicle only if all the parts have been removed first. The idea being able to break down car shell. The mod is fine as is, but..

@Star If you can add an option choose such a setting, that would be awesome. it should be simple enough to just add a new if command regarding number of parts before allowing the car to be stripped before checking engine health

Something along the lines of this maybe?

Как-то странно. На разбор обломков требуется 10 пропана, а на целую тачку 20. А в горелке всего 10. Как поправить это?

As stated in the description, the mod uses vanilla action.
So you need the same items as vanilla action requires, i.e. propane torch + mask.
The loot is the same as after vanilla action, i.e. various metal stuff, it's drawn on the mod icon, but it may be changed by the devs.

What do you need to dismantle a car? skillwise/items? Also what's the items you get? Thanks for the mod

@anal Cyst Analyst (XD NAME) u can take engine parts when sufficient mechanic level if engine has 11% or more condition ;)

As I know, you can drive a vehicle with 11% engine, and you can't drive a vehicle with 10%. That's why I chose this number. I could add settings but I don't want to, I want to keep it simple.

is there a way to reduce engine hp so that you can scrap vehicles that have, say, 11%?

Does vanilla make loot based on what's still installed in the car? No. Only skill level affects loot as I know.

Да, еще велика вероятность, что есть плохой мод, который полностью заменяет функцию в ISRemoveBurntVehicle. Найти его можно по поиску текста во всех файлах всех модов. Так и можно вычислить. Возможно, таких будет несколько, и надо смотреть сам код, что понять плохой или хороший мод.

Нужно уточнить, синглплеер ли, мультиплеер, были ли ошибки. Если да, то нужно смотреть console.txt
В этом моде есть предохранитель от ошибок, который отключает часть механик в случае ошибки. Это не обязательно ошибка именно этого мода, но предохранитель всё равно сработает.
Также может быть, что у вас отсутствует файл SimpleRecycleClientCommands.lua, то есть мог не скачаться со стима, но это уже пальцем в небо.

При разборе, модель автомобиля не пропадает, играю на MP 41_71
Бесконечно разбирает, лут выпадает, газовая горелка тратится, автомобиль только не пропадает.

You might use a specific app, but it's not necessary. The main thing you need is google, e.g.:
"how to find a string in files windows 10"
"where are the mod files project zomboid"
etc.

Googling is the main skill in the 21st century.

@Argoz Thanks for your attention. I dismantled the engine. I even tried disassembling everything! lol Possibly it's some MOD conflict, but I don't know which one. And I don't know how to proceed as @star oriented. I'm waiting for help, because it's very annoying not being able to dismantle vehicles. A helicopter recently crashed in the middle of the street, and I have to zigzag through the surrounding trees before heading back out onto the street. It's a little difficult with trucks and trailers.

@Osbourne idk if this is the problem but in my case there was one time i forgot i needed the cars with less than 10% motor to dismantle it, just break some motors and the option will appear.

I looked it up on Google and my ignorance of Lua is so great that I don't know what to look for. I don't even know where these files are so I can look for it inside them...

Search for the string "ISVehicleMenu.FillMenuOutsideVehicle" in all files of all your mods. It's possible that such a file is incompatible with this mod (very unlikely, but possible).

Actually it's very popular place for injecting. I have 4 mods that inject directly there but those mods are neat enough and are compatible to each other. Probably you have a bad/rude mod.

Hey! Thanks for the quick response. I did that, but I haven't been able to take cars apart for a few months now. I use hundreds of mods (about 550 lol) and I suspect there may be some conflict, although the new tool doesn't point this out (that option in the lower right corner, when we ESC in the game to go to the menu). I tested your mod in vanilla and it worked. In this test I had to click on more than one place in the car for the option to appear. Works best when clicking on doors or tires. But there is no way it works in my save game with hundreds of other mods. :(
