Sure, but like I said you can blacklist and decide which tracks you want to be playing at that moment, no hassle and no need for any unnecessary extra effort on your part. Just download the Nombat addon and whatever sub-addon you need for your setting and just work with that. It's really not that complicated or difficult to do. If a theme plays that doesn't fit the setting then that's on you for getting the wrong Nombat and not setting up the ones you want playing.

What I told to that guy - is everything. There's a roleplays, where nombat wouldn't help you with music in some specific places, to make atmosphere more cool and good. For example, in Entropy Zero 2 music plays in specific places with some unique farts, so it leads someone into that atmosphere of the Arctic.

If you want examples for tracks that'd be nice to listen to while chilling in a casual sandbox setting, I can actually think of quite a few. And so on and so forth for horror and action. You just need to pick the right Nombat addon for what it is you plan to do in your game.

Then... DON'T download a scary nombat addon when you're just chilling? There's a reason there are so many Nombat addons out there, all for different things from different franchises. If you wanted something more lighthearted you can find a Nombat addon that plays lighthearted tracks, if you wanted horror you can do the same or for more action oriented gameplay. There's a nombat for everything, just pick the one you want for the situation you want. And if Nombat doesn't automatically pick the track you want then you can scroll through the tracks and play a specific one or blacklist others so only specific tracks would play.

Nombat is just for lazy people, because Nombat doesn't play music in the right situations. Imagine a simple chilling on the beach, and the scary ambient music starts playing, but nothing happens around you.

@kaydenenvall25 At least with Nombat the music plays by itself and you don't have to scroll through a menu just to get a song going, hope someone makes their own EZ2 Nombat addon.
