why does the splatoon 3 dance not work with the splatoon 3 models? 😭 (the splat 3 inklings on steam dont have an ik variant)

It's quite difficult to do as you need to get the models on the exact same location and size, and then parent each bone to the other model's bone.

i try locking the bones to the 2.0 model it made it worse it didn't work it looked all mangled

Yeah for some reason the Octoling IK models seem to have some errors to do with the eyelids. You can fix this by animating the eyelids yourself as it's nothing too hard to do.

The animation was made using the old echanced Inkling / Octoling model so it likely won't work with the 2.0 models. However you can still get it working by locking all the bones to it.

I had a problem while trying to use this. I was using the Octoling IK Model and when I applied the animation, the eyelids weren't moving. Did I miss something or was it an accidental error?

Does this work with Enchanced Inkling model 2.0?

If you want to render it as a .Mp4 you do need quicktime yeah. You could also export it as a image sequence but that requires you to edit them back together. The result will look better though.

oh with quicktime player ? a lot of people said it had a security risk or something ?

If you are new to exporting animations I'd recommend to export it as a .Mp4 format.

I have an other question how exactly did you render that presentation video ? because I'm trying to do somethign similar (less the background) and once it's done exporting the video doesn't work at all...

What I did with the preview animation is making a custom texture for it and loading that into SFM. So it's not exactly a greenscreen, but also it kind of is.

quick question : did you use a greenscreen for the preview video ?

I can't wait for splatoon 3!
