There are AI nodes in the two cities and the outposts. AI nodes cannot go around the entire map as there is a limit unfirtunatly.

Make your own Nav mesh by going into console and typing "nav_generate"

YOu can add your own fog and snow with the weather addon as this is what it was made for use with.
