Anyways, I would probably handle multiple pellets by storing the data required for each pellet in an array of dictionaries. Each array index represents a pellet, and contains a dictionary of all the data in the array. Then, you could fairly easily iterate through the array and manipulate the data that way. Ex. "pellet[2]['x']" could get the X position of pellet 2.
