Super cool idea! I am confused as to why me having the past portal gun (but not the present one) isn't a paradox, but.. oh well XD

Very clever idea. I LOVE and rave about the music AND the music changes. I love the thought-provoking nature of the test and time-traveling idea. However, the paradoxes are a hugely frustrating feature. I understand them, so I have a hard time arguing their existence here. On the other hand, if I can SEE a cube in my line of vision, then I go to pick it up, I expect to be able to pick it up. Again, I understand the logic in-universe: time-loop, implosion, blah blah blah; can't argue all that. But the punishment (you die; start all over) makes the test one big, fat frustration.
I also don't like how terribly short it is, although I have to admit that its brevity partially addresses the frustrating nature of paradox>die>start over ad nauseam.

If i havenn't create a cube so why is cube there? But i understand this. Othermind you had to create in hammer a lot of alternate tests chambers.

How come the hole in the floor isn't a paradox but the door is?
Why are there 2 cubes in the future? If those cubes are supposed to be the same one, how can they be at different places in the same time?.
What i'm thinking is probably wrong, but this map is annoying as fuck

An event grow the tree -> we want to prevent this event -> we can not because otherwise it would not exist in the future
So, I consider that the paradox is impossible, that the human can not "modify" the past but rather "contribute" to this past

In hammer, if your spawn cube is that it was activated by something else .. and it could very well be you!

I get the paradoxes and stuff but could you calm the fuck down with the music, like wherever i go, it's loud and abnoxious. It's not a fitting music tbh.

I'm sorry, but I did not like this chamber. I get the paradox business, but jumping down the pit in the future map to get above the exit door seems goofy because there is no analog in the past chamber.

You forgot a paradox. Here is how I found a missing one.

I went to the past and pulled the cube off the button to put it on the future button. Next I grabbed the button from the dispenser and took both in the future at once. There should have been PARADOX: You have two cubes in time frame that should have one.

Are the two rooms just smooched up to each other or spaced out, and used a two way door just to create the illusion they're not? If they were next to each other I'd see foilage clipping into the present version of the chamber.

They actually are 2 units away from eachother. If they are in the same place the map doesn't compile. If you look really closely you can see that the 2 rooms do not match exactly in position, and the inside of the frame is thinner than the outside:p2aperture:

Do you think you coudl make a breif image tutorial on how exactly to make a linked_portal_door? I am rather new to hammer and wanted to make a simple door except leading through a subspace warp into a completely different part of the map. Also, what would happen if I linked one to a func_door and moved it into another worldportal?

i wanted to do that, but lets say you just went through the door and did the fling thing and finished the test without putting the cube down. When you died of a paradox at the end, most people would be to confused, and that would be a TON of logic_relays so its eaasier and less confusing the way i did it

If I go in the door without creating a paradox, shoot a portal in there, then take the cube back through the portal with me, it isn't actually a paradox. You seem to think it is.

this is a HAMMER map, not perpetual testing inituative, so you are going to have to go to the tools section in you library and find

"Portal 2 Authoring Tools - beta"

click hammer and start making maps with youtube videos from this guy:

Confusing at first. Hint - look in the foliage in the overgrown theme map. That area is the future where you already solved the test.
