afraid not. the only controls we modders have when making a drill is the size of the drilling sphere. has to be the size it is to be able to mind without crashing the drill into the rock

This excavator is mining too much ore in a short amount of time, is there a way to reduce it?

I am semi retired from SE modding. I might come back to it later or maybe for SE2. no plans for anymore blocks for my mods right now. making a larger version would require a complete rework of the model and would take alot of time and effort, not something anyone else could do but me even if I was willing to allow other people to use my assets.

Hey, I love this mod. I was wondering if you're still into SE modding?
I've built about 10 excavators with it, but the size of the bucket wheel limits the overall size of the excavator, otherwise the bucket wheel looks ridiculously small.
So my question would be, would you release a larger version of the block again, or would you allow someone else to do it? Greetings

the reason the mod is bigger then some other single block mods is because it uses some custom textures, its also a detailed model with subparts and LODs, these all make it a little bigger. No you cant make it smaller, not without the original models, if you were to remove the custom textures it would all show up as error gray. As for reuploads, the answer is always NEVER on all my mods. Use Mod Adjuster if you need to make a basic stat change for something on a server, its what it was made for.

why would a mining drill clash with WC? why would a mining drill in a mod named NorthWind of all things clash with WC? of course they work together... the only mods that dont work with WC are none WC based WEAPON mods.

will this mod clash with weapon core and its vast collection of supported mods do you know?

When you combine the power of this drill with the utility of this script (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1695500366) you can make some really amazing stuff. One of our guys built an oil rig kind of thing that we will move from ore patch to ore patch, set up, and then fly around defending it while the Orks and Reavers try to blow it up.

Good fun, highly recommend.

We are already having a lot of fun with this. As an owner of the Lego Technic bucket wheel excavator, this one really got to me. And your build in the demonstration was a huge inspiration for my groups first major ground-based mining vehicle. This mod overall just makes it so much more sensible for mining in gravity. Fantastic work!

I just tested this in Creative and I have to say that I'm really impressed! The slow spin-up is realistic. The boundary box is very tight so you don't go digging up huge bits all over. You really have to get the buckets in contact with the surface. It also digs a lot but not so much that it's OP. For what it costs to build, it's not an 'I win' button.

It was the location of the conveyor ports. They were to the sides of the 3x3 rear rather than the center where other drills keep their ports. People new to this mod take note... it's not a real issue if you keep your eyes open.

Recently added these to my base drill unit and noticed that I can't get material out of them. I suspect they jammed somehow but inspection revealed no damage and my other drills (Akiad) were performing normally. I will examine further but suspect that something is amiss. Can anyone verify?
