Maybe instead of just an ear, maybe it could be another kind of implant? Like an electrical port for the back of the head? I dunno. Just wanna be creative.

@イムカ I will look into this, I believe it's because VPE requires you to unlock focus types by points. I should be able to make a patch

Doesn't seem to work with psycasts expanded the meditation type doesn't unlock when the ear is installed...

@the guy who asked As far as I know it is, I don't use that mod. I read into what it changes and it seems to be compatible, aside from my mod maybe not having a meditation icon for VPE. If you try it and discover otherwise please let me know!

@m11kire I'm definitely not sure, the code just applies the hediffs. I'd have to see how they do burn immunity

i was more thinking about the vanilla expanded ancients, one of the super-powers is an immunity to burn damage, was also thinking about someone who had 200% burn armor, but if the code is just saying 'zap, your arm now has a 5 point burn injury' i'm fairly certain that will bypass armor

@shane_357 Thanks for the comments! I toiled with the idea of making Pawns with ears attract lightening to charge/gain psylinks. I'll look into the Lightning Rods idea :D

@m11kire I'm not sure, I didn't test with that. The code applies the burns directly to the body parts. Is this a vanilla way you have burn immunity?

hypothetically, if i had someone who was immune to burn damage, would this still give them psylinks/recharge psyfocus?

Okay you know something that would be REALLY FUCKING COOL and totally thematic to this mod? Lightning rods. Using the ones in VFE: Power and your own, you chain a pawn to it during a storm and if the lightning hits them they get burns and a chance of a psylink,
