@Aneonen: Thanks. I don't believe the resolution is responsible for this - try ramping up your Anti-Aliasing settings, that should help! Anyway, even with high resolution and AA, grating can affect the player's sight. Therefore I use that alternative texture sometimes (it's a simple edit if you'Re interested...).
