This mod was great, back in the day. If you've moved on to other projects, I must say, I am glad to have been able to have this on my server back when I ran it. The people loved it. Night Sprinters, day Shamblers.

we've been using this mod a long time but it seems like them in multiplayer is erratic enough we might switch mods or go to full sprinters. For some clients they shamble when they shouldn't, especially if the clients are far away from one another, and they'll randomly switch to sprinting without warning, or some groups are shambling and another group will be sprinting

This mod doesn't seem to work? I want day time sprinters so I set the day time zombie speed to "sprinters" and night time zombie speed to "shamblers", didn't touch the normal zombie lore, then started the game at 9PM. Zombies still chase after me at full speed though they should be shamblers at this hour. Am I missing something?

yeah so can anyone tell me when it says "sun brightness cutoff" can anyone tell me the number to change so when it is day the zombies immadily go inside

was kind of hoping sun sensitive zombies meant more of the "I am legend" zombies where they all group up in dark places and lay traps and shit

For some reason the mod doesn't work for me, I try setting them to two different zombie types but the zombies only keep the day setting. I don't know what I'm doing incorrectly.

For anyone saying the mod didn't work, make sure you enable the mod from your main mods screen as well as add it to your server. If you don't see "Sun Sensitive Zombies" near the bottom of your sandbox options, you haven't enabled it in your main mods area yet and it will not work. When you enable it, everything seems works fine (I've been testing zed speed, hearing, and cognition/smarts).

This mod is cool, but night sprinters is better only because this mod have no accurate time setting. Im also waiting for new functional, to make zombies seek for shelter

Hey about your break from this mod, would you mind if I uploaded a version that had an option to disable the change in zombie speed? I'm wanting to run your mod for lore but random zombies for speed. Let me know if you have any problem with that and I can take it down and/or pass you the modified files to add here.

Since I'm imagining you won't be checking here regularly I'm thinking I'll go ahead with it, but I'll take it down straight away if you have any reservations about it.

Also this doesn't seem to work after doing some testing. It doesn't change the zombies from sprinters to fast shamblers as the night turns to day.

For the multiplayer settings how can we customize it for the server? I'd like to tweak the zombie settings if possible...

This is exactly what's needed for a comprehensive The Kingdom style zombie playthrough, however having it update every few seconds is a price to pay in fps for accuracy.

Can you make a patch for the darkness is coming? This is an amazing mod and it seems to mess with their speeds because they both update zombie lore :(

Dear Modder, I like the way you think, when you relate day/night with sun brightness. It was thrilling in general. What I also experience is sometimes it gets dark in the morning as well, that causes “night” mode on. Thank you in general.

This is probably a long shot but do you think it would be possible to create a setting that would allow zombies to become sprinters and use their night lore settings when theyre in rooms without windows, like hallways or some stores inside the mall for example

for anyone unaware, using this with Randomized Zombies tends to fuck up their AI and behavior IE they have almost infinite vision at random and will start/stop being sprinters at random if the settings conflict. do not recommend.

Will fog affect zombies or just cloudines/rain and time of day?

For sun strength cutoff, 'the LOWER the value you input' = 'the MORE darkness it takes to shift zombies into NIGHT mode.' Default=0.73 so anything less than that would make them sprint only at the darkest times. If you want the zombies to change into night zombies earlier such as at dusk and only revert at noon the next day I recommend a value of 0.80. For less night zombies do 0.55

I cant find the settings in sandbox settings when hosting a server

This seems to work in my MP game, however I am not able to see the settings in the options menu (they default to sprinting at night it seems). I have tried unsubbing and resubbing as well as just clearing out the mod's files and allowing them to redownload.

Not working in MP. Doesn't give me an error or anything, just doesnt work.
