random question idk how to mod and would like to make a mod that does this to the industrial and graphite industrial refinery. I didnt realize how dark their catwalks are.

Could you modify this mod to allow the shower to be used to reduce radiation too? Just a thought.

It does alter the toilets and bathrooms but it is mostly the DLC ones, but since this only alters the showers I guess this wont screw with the other stuff, but yeah you are right it doesnt interfere. I then learned that the mod that depends on this also includes some weird loot with thrusters so I am not going to have to use this anyway. Thanks for your help, though!

Does eat sleep repeat need the shower for something?
This adds an additional shower and hides the original it's still there but not in the menu shouldn't affect anything.

But it alters the shower, which is what got me worried, might be brain farting hard here :D

I see. so the blocks are locked to specific tabs. like [seat] [light source] ect... fuck. hopefully Vrage3 fixes this.

Adding a light is not simple you have to change the block class. If I change the bathroom it stops being a seat. I did this on my bathroom door mod.

Have you thought about adding "bathroom" light. it has a light modeled inside already but doesnt illuminate. would be a simple fix to just add an emitter of light.

It'll work without it they should default. But I believe I did put this on mod io

trying to set up a cross play sever is there any way you could put this on mod.io so the assertive mod will work?

Hey Chips, just a note, the toilet scroll option accesses the original non lit model of the shower, may be worth noting on the page here. Having access to both models could be useful in a specific instance when you may not want the additional lights. IE: in a room with already adequate lighting. Rare I know but it is possible.

They are standard lights like interior ones. They will have all the same properties. If your not getting the block the mod isn't loading you'll have to check the logs.

understood. however i placed the showers after adding the mod and they didn't have lights. as for my question, I was wondering if the lights could be turned on and off, or if they were always on.

This doesn't replace existing showers to light blocks is only overwrites the entry in the gmenu so any new blocks will be lights instead.

the mod doesnt seem to work for me, the lights are just emissives or whatever, and don't actually cast light. is the mod meant to add the showers to the menu so that you can turn the lights on and off too? are there any known conflicts that could be causing them to not work?

For some reason my mod.Io consent was off. But turning it back on didn't help. Have unsubscribed mod and re-subscribed. Checked it both in creative and survival worlds. Just not there. I know I have had it in the past. 'Tis a mystery

No it's just a alternative block type. By reusing the same block pair name it replaces the one in the g menu.

Yes but given how it can be used that could be terrible for performance. Most likely I would use a invisible subpart but there's a chance that can go wrong too.

@Papple2 Splitzy extended the range on the search-light... it dominated the workshop like wheels on luggage suddenly started dominating airports.

Yeah, not sure how everyone else sees emissives, but they don't cast light at all so they're pretty useless. They don't even light beyond their own boundary in any way, such as the surface in which they are set..

Oddly the Kitchen piece also has what looks like a light, but it isn't a light source.

I like how the most demanded and upvoted item on the workshop currently is just Keen's vanilla block with bits added on that should have been there in the first place.

So to be clear, if I add this mod into the world and *then* spawn a blueprint containing the shower block, the shower block inside that grid will be given lights?
Or am I misunderstanding how this mod works?

BTW, It replaced the vanilla version so that could be another reason why I missed it.
