Not a bad idea! In practice I think it looks better on the head than the skirt.

I've got a suggestion. I think its even better if u do the outline on some inside parts too for more detail, for example in beneath the head for defining the head more with the outline, the outline for the skirt on the outline area specifically for the skirt, etc. I see the base characters do it like this too. Well this may looks like a small thing but i see it could look better too with this, just my thought.
