Also happy new year!
10/10
Go find Turtlelord by E Lord on the Steam workshop and download it. Inspect it all you want, dissect it, learn its secrets...
Then try to build an equally costed or less surface vessel that beats it. Must be a surface displacement vessel; cannot fly or dive under water to do this. Also cannot cost more than the Turtlelord (1,939,160 materials).
Banned: Repair bots/tentacles, multiple vehicles (including subvehicles and separator vehicles), spinclipping blocks into other blocks.
Other than that, have at it- if it can be done in the game you can do it. The first person to submit a bp in the discussion and bps channel (on the Arena discord server) that I download and have fight the Turtlelord which wins, will win a $20 Steam gift card. First come, first serve! Keep going until someone wins!
The way I'd say someone would probably need to go about beating this would be with some combination of missiles/torpedoes, preferably from above/below, as it doesn't have defenses against them. The shields won't bounce/stop them, and it's foregone LAMS for Gaara level armor and marine core mindset offense. I'd say that the EMP saturation feels cheaty, because EMP these days, but we all have to live with it, so you're just doing super meta stuff there; it would take specialization to build to beat this.
And you've made it look great, so this does get badass points. ^_^
The final product will look amazing, like Good Job Brother.
LORD God bless you.
