Barring that, try installing Mod Error Container- it's a bit hacky, but such is the way of the Isaac API. It works around (not necessarily "fixes") the 1.7.9b mod error behavior.
i removed it and the problem is gone
Disabling it fixes the menu issue, not sure why.
In any case, it's working properly on my end, with my mod, Encyclopedia and other mods I have installed that use the same menu system all merging properly. Have you restarted your game since you installed both mods?
so when i press C or click my left stick, if i disable the hoard of leathers it should work right?
Just so you know, I was able to increase the voiceline volume for the original lines- the ones Leather gave me were quieter than the Antibirth originals. I replaced the newer ones with the Antibirth ones, they're equivalent apart from volume (and slightly smaller to boot)
