Plane works perfectly fine still. If they aren't starting up you probably aren't flicking the kill switch buttons.

The engines will not start in anyway shape or form. Nice plane broken engines.

the engines refuse to start up for some reason, i may be dumb but no matter what i try they don't start

Its a really nice plane, but a few things :

1) Like someone said below, it needs anti-ice for going into the arctic. The engines eventually freeze up and stall

2) The autopilot is kinda janky. It doesn't hold a perfect heading but its good enough.

@Bonko, centre lower screen in the cockpit has a touchscreen interface to set altitude and heading hold.

plane goes down on alt hold and there doesnt seem to be a visible keyboard on when to input altitude, only waypoint coords

@Jake as well as a superheavy cargo plane that can fit the rook and larger tanks like it.

Love this plane! Could you make it so the throttle is controllable from the keyboard though? Kind of hard landing otherwise :)

did you set the altitude

the alt hold sends the plane down into the ground and it always flys up

btw im not forcing you to build this but are you able to build a heavy bomber plane as i think its the only thing the NQAF haven't really mentioned

hmm, this has never happened to me on any physics detail. Not sure what the problem is, make sure that it spawns above the ground is my best advice

Is there a reason the plane skids to the right upon spawning? the wind isnt up at all and theres no tornados but the plane just moves itself to the right as soon as i spawn it, no chance to get it our of the hangar/takeoff

The overhaul took a long time mostly because the updates to the original P-188 design had to be discarded as the base aircraft had an entirely new Autopilot and systems installed. So we had to start from scratch effectively

@ThatDude, the C-188, the older version, is a purely transport plane designed to ferry troops between locations. The P-188, this version, is a Maritime Patrol Aircraft, and has had its entire interior stripped out and redesigned to allow the installation of a bomb bay to house torpedoes to kill ships and submarines with, as well as all the sensors needed (Surface Search Radar & Magnetic Anomaly Detector) to detect and prosecute targets. It was a rather intensive overhaul.

P-3 Orion was one of my favorite aircraft. Maritime Patrol role always was interesting to me.

yes. this is to eject them fast enough before the proxy det activates to avoid blowing up the plane

the condor was also a maritime patrol aircraft so that was a good decision

That was one of the original name inspirations for this aircraft. the other being Coronado

you should make a P-3AEW&C like thing, just put a AWACS radar on top, DOHS uses those to track drug cartels
