Thanks for reporting the bug.
I've just released a new patch in attempt to fix the crashing issue. Really hope that it works this time.
Please do tell me if there's any other bugs that you've found, thanks!
But so far the fix is by removing the mod and loading the world, and then decide if you want to re-add it and replace all the towers.
So in one way, we are lucky that it does not corrupt the save when removed mid-game.
However, tried playing today and was booted from my world, and also see the attached error whenever attempting to reload.

Whilst it makes raids nice and simple very early, once you start exploring underground you find trap walls everywhere and then can make trap tunnels that absolutely wreck all raids (probably even better) =)
Not knocking on this mod - its nice to have whilst you learn the game =)
1.0 game version is out now.
Couple issues about balancing, is it possible for you to code the towers as NPCs and give them health that way raiders wont just ignore them? like the basic arrow tower has the least health, then it scales as the quality goes up. Feels kind of cheesy having these untargetable towers.
Also I would suggest maybe upping the cost a bit more, it feels way too cheap to just spam these around and I'm on brutal. make it like 500 arrows per tower, 50 bars, etc something that fits them being so strong to use.
