@leteo39 - I noticed that the Ultra Historical mod uses NRM. I presume they've modified it in some (hopefully small) ways to suit their own purposes, but 1) perhaps they haven't, and 2) either way, they've got to be dealing with the same problems you are with BBA compatibility. They've been working for several weeks, so perhaps you and their team can collaborate? Or they can share what they've done/learned to help you?
Pause the game. disable ai for your own tag. Tag switch into your rival countries. Build the ships you want your enemies to have (historically accurate capital ships, good destroyers, what have you) (using research_on_icon_click and the xp commands as needed, or tag switch earlier on and make the ai research the right naval techs), then put the ships you want in the production queue, use the command "it" for instant training, unpause until the next day starts, pause again to check that everything worked and that the AI's new ships are ready for battle, then either do the rest for your other enemies or go back to playing as yourself. (Just remember to disable instant training and research before you play as yourself again.)
I know about the lack of a scroll bar in many tabs of the designer, it's a problem that jades us all, I'll try to fix it eventually
@10 mmr king is that a thing? IDK, but why should you care? it's extremely easy to win against the AI anyway, so if enough ppl complain about it for MP, I'll change it. It's not my doing though.
That comes because all the starting conditions i.e. ships national spirits leaders at start and so on are in one file. Any mods that do change that file as NRM II does are incompatible.
The files that make many Focus focus tree mods incompatible is the history folder so if you play alone maybe it is worth to merge them with NRM II files.
